What does it mean to have Faith?
It is such a precise question, but yet it bears so many different, intricate answers. No?
I often would say it is the belief of something bigger and greater than yourself. But does that really work? Does that explain Faith, or having Faith?
As defined by a dictionary, Faith is a complete trust or a formal system of beliefs.
So, if I have complete trust in something, anything, I have Faith in that something?
Why is it then that most people associate Faith with a religion? According to what I've found, and what I believe, Faith has zero ties to religion other than the fact that you are having Faith in that religion. If I have Faith I may or may not have any religion associated with myself.
Faith is but a word, used in many instances and many references. But as we all know, Faith means more to some and less to others. So what is this thing Faith? Do people believe in Faith, or is Faith the word they use for the things they believe in?
I believe in something called truth, and I suppose I would say I have Faith in truth. So maybe, therefor, I believe in something called Faith
