Happy June first everyone! (even if it isn't quite June yet for you).
My internet has returned to me! Though it's already failed me quite epically by cutting out while I was trying to download FFIX BAH! I'll have to start again, I'm thinking possibly on my PS3 this time, so if the net cuts out I don't have to start again from the beginning like on my PSP =/.
I worked the 5 hours of work today, but it felt like SO much longer I think I slept on my body wrong, because it was still and a tad sore. I can't place why, but at one point I had an entire cage of bloody McCain's Superfries to process, those boxes are awkward and HEAVY! The damn things are on special this week.
But anyway, I'm fine now. Plus, I don't have to work tomorrow as expected. Initially I was slightly saddened by this because I was hoping to get my beautiful Bravia by July 17th (when the free PS3 promotion expires) but it turns out that I apparently have to help my Mum pay for an operation that she wants on the 14th or something... so, that'll likely clean me out again =/. But, in the end, I already have a PS3 anyway, so I guess it's not as much of a loss as it obviously could have been. I probably would have just sold it or something for a little extra money to spend on some good quality speakers to go with my TV lol.
The funny thing is, I've had vivid dreams over the past 2 nights about coming across a lot of money, and being like "YES! Bravia will be MINE! But I never actually end up getting it in the dream. It's like one of those premonition dreams!
So now, I'm not so bummed about getting no work tomorrow, it IS supposed to be my day off after all.
I started a new game on White Knight Chronicles this afternoon. I didn't really need to, but I don't really like the character I created for my first one... so I changed, now I'm much happier =). In general the game is lacking in a lot of polish. It's pretty, but not quite up to Level 5's usual standard, especially since it's their first step onto the PS3. However, having said that, it's not like they're Square or anything. They're still only small in comparison. It's also easier to forgive their short comings when you experience the small tweaks and things that the game possesses also. The greatest of which is the lack of loading times within a town. In and out of buildings with no load transition at all. The doors open and you walk in, these are HUGE worlds too, with no loss of character or detail. I remember being impressed with this style of transition in Rogue Galaxy and it's nice to see that they've taken it even further with the move to a more powerful console.
However, having said that, the thing that REALLY urks me about the game is the lack of emotion. I mean, I know it's pretty much supposed to be an online game first and a 1P story mode second, and with that in mind I'm AMAZED at the detail put into the 1P campaign and perhaps I was just spoiled with FFXIII's brilliant character animation, but I'm left feeling like I'm watching a puppet show. It's rather woeful, and really detracts from the experience =/. However, once again, like I was saying before, for every bad, there is a good, the musical score is beautiful!
Oh, and so far the story is dull and uninspired. But I've not really gotten that far yet. I think I mentioned last time that it's pretty much the classic commoner boy/helpless doe eyed princess motif. I'm giving it a shot anyway (despite the fact that I have all intentions of playing FFIX as of tomorrow). Why not right? It seems worth the play, and I hear that there's a second one in the making. Fingers crossed they can maintain all that's good and fix up all of the short comings =).
Hmm... long rant was kinda long =P.
I finished Heroes too, since I had that last day completely off I just took it through to the end, marathon style (Barely left my room til shortly after 9PM (I had to eat sometime lol) and seriously... it really wasn't bad! I mean, still riddled with plot holes, but over all, still a pretty good series! I was shocked lol. Speaking of shocked, Samuel is the GREATEST character EVER on that show (except for early Sylar of course), for me, he was the defining feature. If they'd used this season as the base for season 2 or 3, instead of screwing around the way they did, the series might have been saved.
So... yeah, that's me for now. My Mum woke me up at like 5 this morning to turn off my download of Lost, because it was apparently slowing her down, despite the fact that my computer had seemingly disconnected itself to the modem by the time I got to it (the same obviously happened to my PSP) the modem's been playing up a lot lately. Then I couldn't get back to sleep. So I was sleepily drawing for a while. Then thought I'd get on here and give you all a howdy do. Oh, I'm still in yesterday mode btw... so forget the fact that this entry has been posted in the morning, and pretend that it was last night... it makes more sense that way (a bit late, I know, I'm sorry) =P.
Aaaaaaanyway, that should be about it I'd say.
There's just this meme to take care of first.
Just a reminder that I'm basing this on music videos, not just the songs themselves.
