Welcome to the prairie
Okay, I did it, I opened my own art community! Yayz! :-D Have thought about it for a while and I got convinced by my wonderful flisters, so here we are. Welcome to the prairie! *cough* Okay...I have to say, I really wanted to go for Black Sand. Unfortunately it was already taken (although the journal hasn't been updated in ooooh three years or so) and I ended up browsing through this great Lakota website in search for a cool word to use! And I found it: Oblaye, which means prairie. It's no secret I am a huge fan of Dances With Wolves. The word reminded me of the scene where John Dunbar tried to learn Lakota but ends up saying 'fire is on the prairie' instead of 'rain is on the prairie' (or something like that) which made Stands With A Fist laugh. ;-)
There's not much to see here yet, but I do plan on housing some of my already posted artwork here. This also kinda nudges me into making some new artwork. So if you like to, please feel free to watch this community and stick around for more of my artwork! :-)
