I've got Marvel Adventures: Iron Man volumes 1-4 and MA: Avengers volumes 1&2 on hold at the library, ready to be picked up. I'm so excited to read these books, you have no idea.
In other news, I picked up some old Avenger comics from Half Price books yesterday, and I'll scan the good parts if there are any.
And I read the first Ultimates trade paperback while I was there and WOW it is amazing. How much do I love a Captain America that is more of an asshole? Way too much. I mean, some kids break into his apartment and dump paint thinner on his records-- old Cap would hunt them down and lecture them. Ult!Cap hunts them down with the intent to beat some sense into them.
And this scene:
Bruce Banner: I'm sorry I turned into the Hulk and demolished half of Manhattan-- I did it for the good of the team! don't hurt me!
Cap: Oh, don't worry, we won't hurt you. We'll even make sure you'll get patched up, like that scrape on your cheek.
Bruce: What scrape?
Cap: (kicks him in the face)
