i'm home
it was payday, so I walked my ass off tonight. I'm glad its over, it has taken me about 4 weeks to learn 130 employee names. I had an interesting conversation with one of the new employees tonight, it goes as follows.
Employee: Allen, do you think I could leave early? I've been up for 24 hours, and I'm falling asleep at my machine.
Me: Talk it over with your production supervisor, I don't have a problem with you going home.
Employee: Well, I don't really want to ask him, it's going to look bad that I'm going home early on my second day.
Me:(with a dumbfound look on my face) You know that if I send you home, your production supervisor is going to find out that you left early when he notices that your machine is no longer running.
Employee: (Blank Stare)
I have some amazing employees.
Molly and I are going to a rock show tonight in Decatur. Before that, I'm going shopping for work boots. So, I guess I need to get in bed so I can do all of this in a little bit.
Lance, are you still alive? I emailed you the other night, but havn't heard back. Let me know how your doing.
