The big weekend

I just had blueberry poptarts, mmmm. berry. tarts. mmmmm.
I looked forward to last weekend since JULY and BOY was it fun. I took el train, and bumped into a girl from my floor so LUCKILY I did not get lost and abducted in Trenton (although it'd be hard to abduct me with my craaaazy self-defense skills hay-YA). I talked to Alex and Allie on the phone during my trip! I got home, ate some Breast Cancer M&Ms I'd bought 1/2 price at the bookstore, and talked to Alex on the phone AGAIN (this time I wasn't on a bus, so I could hear)while making Irish soda bread for a family friend. THEN I dressed myself because my t-shirt had dough on it. THEN I seated myself in the car to go pick up Alenandra, and had a devil of a time in the car when I tried to turn the brights off and ended up cleaning the windshield twice and turning the back-wiper on. I looved driving again, though, taking the classic Friday night route from Alex's house to town and laughing too much to fully respect those stop signs back near the bike path. I ended up finally finding a hot-dog on the lunch menu at Steve's (or is it Mike's now?) and then we were off to enjoy the CHS show, which was super. I should have been warned it was different, though, when Gary warned that it was different and suggested we "sit back and go with the flow". THEN we went to Friendly's where I was charged 30 cents for extra Reese's in my cone-head. Cheap. Anyway, the cast party was fun, and it was kind of the cast to welcome us.
SATURDAY I LOVED La Boheme, then I saw Mimi on the street and my aunt yelled "Bravo". Then I told her she should have said "Brava", but I think Mimi was flattered, anyway. It was the opening performance, and also her Met debut. Then we went to Cafe Mozart, which I suggested because of its desserts, and my aunt, who was generously giving me this glorious day, ordered four desserts that they were out of before she gave up. It was 6: 30 on a Saturday!! Have what's on the menu, for Pete's sake. CHEAP! Annnyway, we tootled around NYC some more buying desserts to bring home. Then we missed two trains because of NYC-ness, and got home at 11. Luckily my mom and other aunt were still up, so we all ate the desserts and visited.
Sunday I hung around, did dishes, went to church, and got back here for an 8 pm concert, after which we all ate cake.
I'm super jealous because one of my friends is leaving for home TODAY. I have to wait 'til tomorrow night because CHORALE REHEARSAL WAS NOT CANCELLED. Luckily, Art is generously letting me hitch a ride, so I won't need to be trooping around Trenton late at night.
I am late for "Chisel It". I like being late for excercise classes and elliptical appointments because it makes me think I'm getting off easy. I'm not, I just like to think so. hay-YA!!
