For once it almost felt like home. And to have been able to see Franziska again... It's somewhat relieving at the same time. To know that she is safe and well back home. I shan't comment on those who did arrive ( I'd like to forget that Larry was ever here... ) but I can't say that that curse was unpleasant at all ( Read more... )

And how shall I be of assistance to a great lawyer as yourself, Mr Edgeworth?

By providing some information about a specific meeting at the Koukakurou, a short while ago.

According to the hostess and caretaker, Miss Yuki, you and Kristoph Gavin met with each other there after midnight. Prior to it, there had been an incident that left a particular guest in a rather... troubled condition.

[ooc; aka Phoenix was thoroughly mindfucked and um, humiliated. ♥ Privately but yes. Feel free to have Muraki confirm this or play around, it'll help with psyche-lock breaking for Phoenix since he isn't telling Edgeworth what happened. ;; ]

Oh? I'm not exactly certain if I was there or not - perhaps Yuki was, indeed, correct.

Do forgive me if I find your claim of uncertainty being a little hard to swallow, so to speak, Doctor Muraki. Surely there must have been some reaction to the situation prior to your meeting, seeing as it involved Mr. Gavin as well.

If the claim of uncertainty is too difficult to stomach, a spoonful of sugar does help that medicine go down. ♥

But, as to the meeting itself, all I can remember is that it was a quite belated wine testing.

( Please spare me those mental images. )

Let me put this as bluntly as possible, Doctor Muraki. The guest your friend invited was discovered in a drugged and traumatized state. Normally this would be a cause of alarm for such a refined establishment, one that I am aware, was started by a close associate of yours.

Strange, how your evening continued as normal with Mr. Gavin later on, without a hint of suspicion as to the methods of meal preparation that caused such harm to someone he had been with not long before.

Mr Edgeworth, if I may, I had no reason to suspect Mr Gavin in such a manner, as I had not been given reason to suspect him. As for the unfortunate coincidence that befell that guest at Koukakurou, I was not notified of it but a day later.

( I don't have any reason to not believe that, but for what Mr. Tatsumi has told me, I can't let my guard down at all. )

At this point, all I wish to know is if Mr. Gavin was still present at the Koukakurou with you after the incident occurred, whether or not he was involved in it, Dr. Muraki.

To answer your question, no. Is there anything else I can help you with?

( You've told me more than I needed to know with that. ) Thank you for your time.
