Buffy and her band of slayers have taken residence in a castle in Scotland, as per the Buffy Season Eight comics. Xander and the slayer Renee have recently begun dating, but following his trip to transylvania to visit Dracula, they have a row and break up. Heartbroken, Renee goes to a nearby Scottish pub to try and lighten her spirits. However, when she gets there, she comes face to face with a woman from Xander's past. Anya, having died in the battle with the First, has recently been risen as a vengeance demon. When the demon finds out that it is Xander that has hurt this young girl, she can't believe her luck. Having seemingly eschewed her human emotions, will Anyanka finally get revenge on the man that left her at the altar?
