i don't have much to update about...

Sunday, I helped unload some stuff from sandy's van. made a few bucks. Then i went to the cycle expo with dad. There were some cool bikes in the show, but (once again) there were nicer bikes outside in the parking lot... good food, too. There's always a Dominic's of New york-style tent set up. As usual, people were complaining about one thing or another. The Harley guys thought there were too many japanese bikes, the crotch rocketeers thought there were too many Harleys, and the old people complained that there was too much of everything. There was a nice display of the old stuff, though... for once...

One thing i noticed was the lack of tattoo artists. Last year, it seemed like a tattoo show with a few bikes. This year, there were only 4 or 5 artists.

Alas, no Lizard... Lizard is another guy I grew up with. The guy looked like he was MADE out of ink. Long grey hair, constant 5 o'clock shadow, overall scruffy-lookin'. But my parents never had a problem with leaving me and Lauren with him while they walked around looking at bikes or went for a ride. Why? I mean, to most people, he looks like the guy you'd want to keep the kids AWAY from. But the tattoo business was a side job. You see, Lizard was a cop. Him and dad were partners up in NJ when dad was in the "special police". Don't ask about the name, i'm not even sure what was special about it. They had guns, badges, and a patrol car... now that I think about it... 'special' would be a good term for it... I mean, think about it... my dad and Lizard in a patrol car... pretty special... Imagine being pulled over by Santa and Indian Larry... heh... that makes me giggle a little... I mean, dad didn't look like santa back in the 70's, but it's fun to picture... I might have to photoshop that some time...

ANYWAYS!

There was also the usual weapon dealer... but he didn't have much... in fact, i had a few of the things he was trying to sell... Looked like he bought some crap from A&N... in fact, i think he DID buy most of his stock from A&N... I called him on it

"How much for this one?" (the big hunting knife I keep in my car. you know the one)
"oh, that's a beauty! $30"
"...That seems like a lot."
"It's actually cheap! You can find ones like it for 50 or more!"
"really... Cuz I got this one from A&N for $10.99" *whips it out*
...long pause...
"Look, I'm trying to make some money here!"
"I noticed..."

Anyways... that's about it... cycle expo was a bust... at least i got lunch out of it.

Not too much else has been going on... Work, mostly... I'm gonna get a haircut tomorrow, probably. Mom said she'd give me the money for that and to pick up milk and cat food. Should be an eventful day...

I guess that's about it. Maybe I'll go for a walk or something...

Later days!

Tonight I feel ambitious and so does my foot as it sinks on the pedal. I press it to the floor. I don't need a girl, don't need a friend, 'cause my friend lonesome's unconditional. We're flying forever bored. And for a moment I love everything I see and think and feel. I love my broken side view mirror. 'Cause it's so perfect. I'm so perfect. You're so perfect - you're not here! I hear the change in gears... My pile shakes as I hit eighty on the open road. This is an open road song... The night is beckoning although I have nowhere to go but home. Feels good to be alone. With every turn comes a new frame of mind - if I could frame my mind, where would it hang? My pile shakes as I hit eighty on the open road. This is an open road song... I crack a window and feel the cool air cleanse my every pore, as I pour my poor heart out... To a radio song that's patient and willing to listen. My volume drowns it out. Yeah, but that's O.K. 'cause I sound better than him anyway, any day! Yeah, my voice is sweet as salt. I search for comfort and I find it where I've found it many times before. Times before can be forgotten...
