Tekken 5 Collector's edition

My god what a package. The artbook is ok, some of the T5 art is neat but the rest of it is stuff we've all seen a million times before, although it is creepy to look at the art from Tekken 1 and compare it to today's stuff. It's also hard to believe that it has been ten years since Tekken 1 hit the scene. I could ramble on just about that, but I'll save it for my forthcoming review of the game. The joystick is a hefty number, but it's all high quality from Hori. Nice steel base, a lollipop stick that I actually like for a change, good convex buttons that your fingers can just glide across. It's a masterpiece in itself really. I haven't had time to really delve into the game, but from the little bit played last night, the graphics look clean, characters are responsive and lively, and they should have just called Raven Wesley Snipes. I bet with time I can turn into a monster with him, but as of right now I job and hard to Jennifer's Xiayu. She also managed to decimate my King, who is one of my all time favorites.

Fighting fans, Tekken fans, not only get this game, but get the whole package deal if you can. It's a great deal. Although the DVD box isn't anything really to look at, being a metallicy slightly chromed grey with Jin's burnmark/tattoo thing and Devil Jin gracing the fold out box, it is very nice to have, since I can put the entire Tekken series (including Tag) within and ditch these old, sad jewel cases, and in the case of Tekken 1, the monster cardboard case that had seen better days.
