Like a Thf in the Night
Giga and I duo'd this NM, his theif in full evasion gear. I used Ceal as brd/whm, providing evasion songs, and back up curing. Wasn't a hard fight, just take your time with it. If you want to speed up a lowman process, I'd suggest a samurai or /samurai and just go to ws. Don't want to really feed the NM tp.

Thief TP
I usually use this set up on sky god fights or anything with extreme evasion.
This set was initially intended for my farming sessions. The PCA is usually traded off for Orochi Nodowa in those instances. With the help of sushi and/or Marinara pizza though, I've been sticking to this set as my standard Tp set.
Thief WS
Believe this is as far as I can take it without land Kings or Einherjar. It is a nice balance of STR and DEX. I've become aware that for SATA it is actually better to get another Dex 5 ring, but I've been using flames to save on inventory space. Don't have Hecatomb body either. Been playing around with the attack on ethereal and ToaU ring for Dancing Edge.
Thief Evasion/Dynamis Pulling
Originally intended to pull in Dynamis, and it is definitely effective in that area. I can't seem to find a screen shot of it, but I have held mobs for the group. The Thief evasion is a wonderful blanket. I brought my thief to many low man situations and have tanked so far Serket, Charybdis, (duo-tank) Overlord Bakgodek. If im tanking solo, I keep the range accuracy rings on. When tanking with a support group I keep Ulth/rajas on. To complete this set, I need to get off my ass and get denali hands and legs. Novia would be nice too heh.
Thief TA
This set needs the most work of them all. Looking into denali head, and body. As for any other changes, I'm not too sure how to focus it. Read it should be something like my WS gear with heavy focus of AGI of course. Thinking maybe a garrulous ring to accompany the emerald ring. Also a Genin earring for the drone.
My Macro Palette
Everything is pretty self-explanatory. The Collaborator macro reads "/ja Collaborator " making it easier to target people using my F1-F6 keys. This ability is insanely useful and is something I think there needs to be more promotion for.
Around the time my thief hit 75, I was participating in a ZNM LS. Many people didn't want to come thief to events which i somewhat understand. Samurai is still my favorite job and personal preference, but to win as a team you got to work as one. Everyone should take the role that best supports the team. That being said I didn't really mind being the token Treasure Hunter whore. I thought since I'm here what are ways I could be more useful. Non merited thief at the time, and not as much as I wish to be now even, I found this role in Collaborator. The LS had about 3 BLMs at tier IV events. In these fights, when i went thief, I asked to be in the BLM pt. I put Collaborator into rotation (it is my preferred ability due to the 1 min recast vs. Accomplice) starting with the highest nuker and down. We had maybe 3 skillchains set up with DD rotation using meditate. This allowed for a constant source of damage from the BLMs while not interfering with PLD/NIN hate game.
