Long time no talk (or) an entry from C-bus

Getting to C-bus for dad's 60th b-day celebration took a while. A long while, actually. I left OyBerlin! at 10 and came home at about 5:45. Why so long, you ask? Well, I went to the airport via LCT and found a small crowd of Oybies going to a museum(?). One of them got off somewhere else and had time to kill, and I ended up tagging along with her to the West Side Market. For those who have yet to go there--it is awesome beyond all belief! I bought lunch there and proceeded to Tower City so that I can transfer from the RedLine onto the 55. Or so I thought it was the 55. Turns out there really is no good way to get to the Greyhound Station from Tower City except by feet or by cab, and it took me about an hour to figure that out. Once at the station I waited until 3 p.m. for departure.

What was cool about this adventure was a) went to the Market for the first time and b) learned how to get to the Greyhound. I guess I could have asked for a ride to the airport, or even to the McDonalds at the 250/I-71 intersection where I would meet my godfather and his wife. (They were driving to the party from Akron and it would have been more convenient for them to meet me at the intersection instead of picking me up in OyBerlin!) But instead I went on my own little adventure and immensely enjoyed it.

When I came home I immediately went on the treadmill, because in addition to not working out yesterday I was rather sedentary on my adventure. Went to the party and it was good, although somewhat boring. It was only me, my sister, and Alex (close friend my age). What was most excellent, of course, was the traditional Russian food. OMG sooo much goodness!!!! I am bringing some (and by some that truly was an understatement) back with me--and all of you should come and help me eat it. I am also bringing back Glögg and Georgian wine (score!)
