Since my birthday is today and on a weekday, I had to celebrate my birthday with my folks on the weekend. My parents took me to Temecula, CA Temecula is a place where there are many wineries where one can go for wine tasting and for tours of the wine facilities. This was the first time I ever went to Temecula, so we chose a few wineries that we thought looked interesting.
We started with Thorton. Once, we made it inside Thorton we could see that an event was going on. There were not really any tours that day, but just wine tasting of wines from that winery.
The next one was a family winery, which was quite nice. It was called Hart winery and we were able to really relax and drink some wine from that winery. We could see the grapes from the winery growing. After four tastes of wines, we got to keep the glasses. :-D Afterwards, we went to the winery which was offering a tour on every hour. The tour was quite nice and the tourguide showed us where they crush the grapes and where they put the finnished product in the barrels. It was a interesting tour and I learned so much more about wine. Afterwards, we went to one more winery where they have a chocolate port wine. I wanted to try it out... but it was way too sweet!
I had a great time at the winery! :-) I am glad my parents took me to the winery county in Temecula, CA!
Hopefully I can go again with some friends of mine who love wine!
