I'm so tired of taking it up the ass on this housing thing. After working years to get to the point where I can afford a house, where my income is steady and not inconsiderate, I'm still unable to afford a home. The rest of the country wallows in one kind of pity or another, their markets crushed--and I feel for them, I really do. I know the feeling of not knowing where your next rent check will come from, wondering how your next meal will be paid for.
But I'm not there. And their housing problem isn't here. And I'm still stuck looking at one place, maybe two, only to find that one sold after two days on the market and the other has so many people calling on it I don't have a hope of trying to buy it. This isn't the first time. It won't be the last, I'm sure.
But god damn this shit gets irritating.
