True or False?:

I am absolutely terrified of actually picking up the phone and calling people at UIUC to try to get the ball rolling on this whole school thing.

What's the worst that can happen? You don't have to commit to anything and as terrified as you feel right now, you'll feel 100 times better after having made this initial step. Really, you will.

You can do it hun!!! ::hugs::

They can tell me that, at least for the college of LAS, they are accepting no second-bachelor's or non-degree students AT ALL. (That's also true. Sigh.)

That would be pretty shitty. And by "would be" I mean "is." :(

OK, since when do universities turn down money, gah! Can you petition?

I don't really know, but fortunately LAS isn't necessarily the college I want to be in. I'm still in the process of trying to find out if Business is in the same situation.

I'm terrified of calling UIC and getting tuition information for when Adrian goes back. We're afraid to fill out the FAFSA in case they say "you guys make more than $XX and therefore do not qualify for loans this year, HAH!".

I took the first step today: I called Financial Aid and proceeded to NOT leave a message (chicken). Just give a call, and if they don't happen to be accepting students, then you know to look somewhere else, or that maybe now isn't the right time.

Good luck! You can do this!

False. You are about 15 seconds away fom walking away from LJ and making that call. All your anxiety is now about 5 seconds from dissipating completely. You have strong arms and a clear voice and the phone is in working order. There are no obstacles remaining to getting the information you desire.

Do it now!

No, definitely true. Not really worth overcoming, since what I heard on the other end is, "Tough luck."

Anxiety sucks. I despise being in a position in which I'm supplicating myself to someone else, where they have all the power, all the knowledge, and I am nothing.

But you have to do it and the sooner you do it the sooner it is over and you will know what the next step you have to take is.

I see you already did this. Keep going and if there is anything I can do, let me know.
