I'll try out the +/- format.
Some recent things, in no particular order
+ Dog isn't writhing in pain all the time due to the loose screws in his leg due to painkillers. Apparently, his actual bone structure is ok, and he walks around while occasionally limping. He doesn't seem to be in pain a lot.
-- Parents don't seem to be willing to pay the $2000 or so to remove the screws, so who knows what's going to happen.
+ Things seem to be calming down in the household, though I know not for how long.
-- I'm supposed to present to the NHSEE (New Hampshire Science and Engineering Exposition) on friday on stuff related to my senior project. But on what? The experiment we did was a fairly basic one ("What body parts on a cricket are best to use for DNA extraction?" is basically the question). I have to make a poster, make my lab notes neater, and be ready for friday...somehow. E-mailed my outside expert and mentor for advice on this.
- 12/20 and 14/20 on the two Calculus "fact quizzes" to see what we know on stuff for the AP test. Ouch.
++ 34/30 on the group quiz we had today probably sets that off, as well as a group "fact quiz" that was probably a 20/20. Joann must have noticed how bad everybody was doing on the quizzes, and decided to give us something more possible.
- Two situations today which have proven that I need to read instructions more thoroughly before doing things. At least the problems that resulted from them weren't anything major. It doesn't matter if I get the big picture if I'm missing crucial details.
+ Staying after school to make up my physics lab was easy and quick. I thought the experiment was going to be something tedious based on how long the class was working on it.
- Need to work on my senior project stuff more.
- I'm fairly certain that I'm going to have to take the courses covered by Calculus BC again in college, as more than likely I'll get a 3 on the exam like I did in AB. While this is considered "qualified" according to collegeboard, WPI does not see it that way. They usually offers AP credit only for 4s or 5s.
++ I'll definitely get a 4 or 5 on the AB part of the BC exam, meaning I won't have to do that. Also, having to take BC again is sort of a good thing for me. I was able to be confident and skilled with AB work after the AB review in BC, so taking this stuff in college will allow me to be more on top of my math knowledge instead of struggling to catch up. Thus, further math courses (oh dear) after that will be easier to learn as my foundation will be stronger.
++ Also, the premedical requirements for undergraduate study require courses in math and calculus, but not all medical schools accept AP credit. So taking Calc 2 in college followed by Calc 3 (which I haven't learned yet) will mean I can use that to help satisfy my premed requirements for calculus/math instead of having to take courses past Calc 3...which leads you to crazy-hard, math majory type calculus.
++ Excited for summer. I'm going to try to get certified as a lifeguard, which will allow me to have a relatively easy, well-paying job related to swimming, which I love to do, as well as being able to watch out for the safety of others. In addition, I'm going to volunteer at a hospital to do something meaningful and helpful with my time as well as getting my first foot into health care.
++ So many cool people that I know are going/planning on going to the physics field trip. Awesome.

+5 final. But math is silly when it comes to determining happiness :P
