[The sound of a shriek-- or a gobble?-- peeks the volume as the PCD clicks on. It's stationary, but the sounds coming from it are certainly not. The gravel is crunching, the odd sound of something sharp scraping unpleasantly against concrete, scuffling and feathers. More gobbling, and the sharp cry of a child

[There's still a tracking mechanism on Ciel's PCD from when he had lived at Whipstaff, and Negi knows how to use it. Within minutes, he's where Ciel's PCD was sending a signal from, icy spikes of worry and fear striking through his chest the entire way.

He's only just gotten over the pneumonia, had been trying to avoid dealing with the giant turkeys this week until he knew for sure that he could deal with them...but this was Ciel. Crazy mixed-up feelings or not, it's Ciel, and he is in trouble, and Negi isn't about to let anything happen to him.

So when he gets there...the first thing he'll do is cast a large-scale Aer Capturae around the turkey, hopefully binding it, and then flying up on his staff to free Ciel.]

[To be honest, Ciel is only slightly surprised to see Negi show up. Even through the daze of pain in his arm and torso, the disgusting cracks splintering in his ears.. He can hear his own ribs shattering, slowly, one by one.

Despite that, he grits his teeth, refusing to seem.. weak. Especially not in front of Negi. It's almost a subconscious habit by now, too.

The Turkey shrieks as it's caught, struggling valiantly against it's bindings, nearly dropping it's prey once or twice, only to clench harder. The second time rips a cry out of the boy. Negi's gonna have to pry that beak open.]

[Negi grits his teeth at that cry, trying so hard not to let himself get worked up, go into that strange magic berserk mode again, because he might not be able to stop himself otherwise. Ciel is in danger, needs to be rescued before the bird hurts him even more.

Negi balances himself carefully on the staff, quickly edging it close to the bird while it's still bound, and trying to aim for the point closest away from Ciel...he pounds a solid, Sagitta Magica-backed punch into the bird's beak, right where it meets its face.]

[That bird.. it's a good thing it's tied up. Cause that throttle to it's beak lets it give out a mighty shriek, jerking to the side. In which case, Ciel goes flying.]

[Oh, forget about the bird for now. Negi can keep fairly good balance while standing on the staff, so he uses it like a skateboard or some such, speeding towards Ciel as he flies through the air. He can't miss, can't let Ciel fall; that's way too harsh of a drop, and with the turkey squeezing so tightly on Ciel's body like that, along with how bad his arm looked, there have to be some bones broken already.

He manages to get to Ciel as he's starting that downward arc, catching him semi-bridal style, none too gently due to the speed the both of them are travelling. The speed also causes the staff to turn a little to the side as Negi attempts to stop it, but doesn't travel far before it halts completely, just out of immediate reach, though those air bindings can't last much longer.]

[He's.. sorta out of it for now. The moment he's air-born, he's... More than relieved to feel Negi's arms around him, no matter how unstable. He felt oddly safe. But with how much his vision was still dancing, and the thump of his albeit saving catch.. It hurt. A lot. He could feel his bones rattle, weak and cracked, some of them splintered in places.. He couldn't feel his arm anymore, either.

...And that bird. It was disoriented, beak aching and.. they were far enough away for now, for it to turn tail and waddle off.]

[Negi lets out a soft, shaky, relieved sigh as the turkey waddles off, letting the staff drift down towards the ground. He holds Ciel close, gently, trying not to aggravate the wounds he knows his friend has, knowing that the rough landing had already jolted him more than he would have liked.

The staff comes to a stop just inches from the ground, and Negi steps off, gently setting Ciel onto the ground, back against the wall of a building. His coat is instantly off, throwing it over Ciel like a blanket, and his words are hushed.]

Ciel...Ciel, I'm so sorry...are you okay...? Is anything broken?

[It only takes a quick location spell to confirm where the boy is ... and not alone, by the looks of it.

Unohana immediately flash steps to the location, appearing just a few feet away from the two boys and smiling reassuringly at both of them.]

Negi-san ... Thank god you were there.

[He's just really glad someone is there to sit him up, because he's not entirely sure he could have done it himself. The coat over him earns a little sigh, but he's still seeing too many stars to call it 'calmed down', just yet.

His arm.. He still can't feel it. And his ribs hurt. A lot. If one were to remove the boy's top, they'd see fresh blooming bruises covering his chest, and sides.]

I b-believe there are a few things... broken.

[The moment that Unohana flash steps in, Negi bristles, turning sharply as he kneels by Ciel. But that face is familiar, and he relaxes, nodding and only barely returning the smile. It's hard to smile when your friend is so badly hurt.]

It wasn't hard to track him. He wasn't very far away. But...

[Negi bites his lower lip, turning back to look with concern at Ciel. Why had he been out in the first place? Surely he knew about the giant turkeys. And despite all that had happened, this just made Negi feel even more uneasy about Ciel living on his own.

He lifts his hand, brushing the hair on Ciel's forehead to the side, the cool metal of his ring brushing against the Earl's skin.]

Ciel...I know that you don't like it when I use magic on you, but I'm going to make you relax, alright? I've used this spell on you before, it's nothing new.

[He takes in a soft breath, closes his eyes...and begins the incantation. That oddly familiar warm, fuzzy feeling should be taking over Ciel's body any second.]

[Unohana comes to kneel next to negi and just watches the interaction between the two boys, waiting for Negi to finish whatever he was doing. Only then did her hads start to glow with a soft white light.]
