(no subject)
So, most of this was posted in my xanga a day or so ago (with some additions and subtractions), but it pretty much encompases my week.
Family
It's Christmas time. I'm excited about Christmas I guess. I get to spend it with my family. We get along pretty well, so it's nice. We're going to try to get my grandmother over here, but I'm not sure how that will all work out. Last year when I went to get her for my brother's graduation, she backed out a few hours before we were suppose to leave. She hasn't been to our house for Christmas in probably close to a decade (since before my grandfather got sick). Christmas will be a little different this year; it will be more like when we were younger except my grandfather won't be there and we'll be a little bigger. Pray my grandmother will come. My dad thinks that she thinks that we will try to put her in assisted living or something if she comes, but as far as I know, that's not the plan.
Work
OMG! My general manager got Amy's boss to transfer her!!!!! I'm so excited/in shock/happy/*insert girlly squeek*. Amy has been trying for probably 6 months to transfer to my store because "it's easier for her to get to the mall" than her original store since she started teaching and working at Apple. She came in two days ago to say hi and introduce me to her boyfriend, so I introduced her to the new GM who promptly called the other store and asked for the transfer. Now she can work holidays and summers at my store. Oh deary, this should be interesting. Watch out!
Plus, Kimberly is at my store this holiday (I get to worked with her yesterday *happy*). She referred me and I referred her, so in a way she referred herself ... haha.
I interviewed with a company last week. Now I need to call and set up a time to take in my paper work to get started. I asked a neighbor about the company (who btw works for a competing company) and he is going to see if he can set up an interview with his company ... wow.
I got a lead from a customer and another one from a co-worker. Those were cool.
Misc.
I had something to put here, but I forgot. Oh yeah, I saw my "daughter" today and a couple of friends from highschool (they came to see me at work).
My sister redecorated the tree yesterday and I fixed the mantle. She thought the tree was ugly. At one point I looked up and she was taking off paper angels in handfuls! It was so funny. Then we went to dinner with a friend of hers and they exchanged Christmas presents. My book that Kate sold back for me paid for my dinner last night.
I'm way behind on Livejournal readings. Y'all stopped posting there for a while, so I didn't check it everyday. Now I'm behind ... sorry.
Justin and I already had Christmas.
I was cleaning the other day with my window open ... that's weird this time of year. Now I need to finish cleaning and it's not as warm.
I bought RENT for $3.99 and got to hang out with Beka and Kimberly a few nights ago.
