And you are coming up roses everywhere

Let's just say I should have prepped more for this trip than a one day visit to OU. The English are crazy..in a good way, of course, but nonetheless crazy. As evidence to this, we had a fire alarm in my building at 4 this morning and only a hand full of people were in their pajamas. Pretty much everyone was in normal clothes; people were still up doing stuff, drinking, hanging out, what not. Who is up at 4 in the morning drinking on a Monday night? Ok, I realize I am quite studious, we may even use the word "nerd" or "overachiever," but in the states I think people would find that a little excessive. Here is it the norm. I learned early on that I can not keep up with the English; I am still recovering from this weekend or maybe it is still jet lag. Who knows? I am one sleepy girl.

Things are getting better with fitting in with my flatmates. I think it was just the first 3 that got there are on the quiet side which is dandy cause I can relate. I am becoming good friends with the Americans here; it's nice to have something a bit familiar. The kids from North Carolina are the ones you can thank for my conversion to the facebook side although I still stand fast to the claim that it is by far the biggest waste of time ever. But useful when I miss people from home. Anyways, I am going out tonight to some sort of music thingy. Apparently it is showcasing the best of English and American emo and indie. A couple of the boys in my flat have the same taste in music as me so I am hoping to pick up some good bands to bring across the pond to you all. Plus, Frankles' 18th birthday is around the corner and I have to be the cool older sister and find English music for him.

Classes so far are alright. My Genetics and Human Physiology lectures are huge...around 140-200 kids. This little LeMoyner is not used to that, but it is exciting. Ecology actually looks like it may be difficult. Who knew?
I have my history class tomorrow so hopefully I will become so knowledgeable and impress the history majors back home. (Adam...even though my wealth of bio knowledge astounds you enough).

Alright time for a run since the sun has decided to show up today.

miss you
