MTV Italy Presents...

Aug 30, 2006 11:23

So, I'm finally back from Italy. Got back in to Seabrook at 2 AM! There were lots of delays and stuff...

Now, before I post any sort of overview, I would like to give a summary of what seems to be popular in Europe right now as far as music goes. Here is a list of any video I saw on MTV Italy that I hadn't seen previously (Italians really like popular American music!). Songs in bold were ones I particularly enjoyed. The one in italics is a song I hate.

Barbara Morgenstern - The Operator
Bebe - Malo
Cansei de Ser Sexy (CSS) - let's make love and listen to...
Cassius - Toop Toop
DJ Jad - This Feeling
The Eagles of Death Metal - I Want You So Hard
Franz Ferdinand - Eleanor Put Your Boots On
George Michael - An Easier Affair
Hard-Fi - Hard to Beat
James Morrison - You Give Me Something
Julieta Venegas - Me Voy
Justice vs Simian - We Are Your Friends
Kasabian - Empire
The Kooks - Naive
Ligabue - Happy Hour
Lily Allen - Smile (awesome revenge song!)
Madonna - Get Together
Marti - Buying Things from Your Past
Mattafix - Cool Down the Peace
Matthew Herbert - Moving Like a Train
Neffa - Il Mundo Nuovo
Nek - Contromano
Peaches - Downtown
Pearl Jam - Life Wasted
Pier Cortese - Prima che Cambierà
Piero Pelu' - Tribu'
The Pipettes - Pull Shapes
Rezophonic - L'Uomo di Plastica (about recycling?)
Scissor Sisters - I Don't Feel Like Dancin' (the man singing looks very gay...)
Spank Rock - Rick Rubin
Thom Yorke - Harrowdown Hill
Robbie Williams - Sin Sin Sin
Zero Assoluto - Parti di Me

There were a few where the artist was listed and not the song. Those are songs by: Plan B, Primal Scream, Zucchero
