Heat wave!
Current heat index: 118 degrees F. In other words, way, way too hot. My office has a lot of windows and doesn't seem to cool below 80 on hot afternoons, so I've been working at home today. Not that my home a/c is doing much better, but at least my home contains kittens. :) And popsicles. :D
I have a subject to test at 6pm though, so I'm going to have to go into lab around 4. NOT looking forward to getting in my car, which has been sitting in my apartment building's uncovered parking lot all day.
The kittens are currently sprawled on a bare part of the hardwood floor. Feels cooler on their tummies than the carpet, I suppose. I've taken 3 cold showers in the last 24 hours. Last night I had a big cold glass of V8 and a dish of cereal for dinner.
What are you guys doing to beat the heat?
