Yesterday I listened to The Debt by Simon Kernick, a short story that was read by Burn Gorman. It was quite enjoyable. The Debt is from a collection of four short stories commissioned by BMW in conjunction with Random House [link]. The stories are a rather good idea but I wish BMW made more of The Hire films, which starred Clive Owen. They were awesome.

The unobscure Bill Nighy has been working on a project called Silk Sounds, where audiobooks of works by writers such as Edgar Allan Poe and Arthur Conan Doyle are made available for download. As well as Bill, OBAs involved in the project include Edward Fox, Richard E Grant, Rufus Sewell and Timothy fabulous eyebrows West; OBFAs include Jane Horrocks and Fiona Shaw. The downloads are not available yet but check the site for updates.
