The Old Curiosity Shop
Sir Derek Jacobi and Toby Jones will be leading the cast of an new adaptation of Charles Dickens' The Old Curiosity Shop filming in Dublin this month. Other OBAs joining them will include Martin Freeman and Bryan Dick.
‘The Old Curiosity Shop’ will be directed by BAFTA winning director Brian Percival (The Ruby In The Smoke, Much Ado About Nothing) and produced by Andrew Benson (Prime Suspect: The Final Act, Hornblower). Gareth Neame, Managing Director of Carnival Films is Executive Producer. The novel has been adapted for the screen by Martyn Hesford (Kenneth Williams: Fantabulosa, Nicholas Nickleby).
Broadcast on ITV is expected "late 2007," according to the linked article.
