People are morons
Sort of x-posted to my own personal journal. Sorry if you see this twice.
I'm rockin' my MoveOn Obama tee today because I was tabling with my school's Young Democrats for a bit before my class, and I walk into geology class as I do. I sit down two seats away from a boy who has commented negatively on my Obama gear before. This time, he took it to a whole new level.
Scene:
EMMA: [sits down and opens People]
BOY: [quietly, not having the cajones to say it loudly] Obama's a Nazi.
EMMA: [rolls eyes] Wow, you're super clever. [reads People]
BOY: [rambles on about Hitler, Mein Kampf, Nazism, etc. incoherently] ...bitch...
EMMA: [pointedly ignores muttering of b-word though by rights she could get up and whoop his ass to Sunday, although it would disrupt class and possibly involve arrests]
SOME TIME LATER
BOY: Obama's a terrorist.
EMMA: [continues reading People]
I'm not bothered by this boy's opinions, though. He's in college and his career goal is to write music for porn movies, which he told me in all seriousness last time he went all batshit on me. Um...yeah.
