Question in need of a response
I'm ... slightly discomfited and bemused, and also a little embarrassed. I'm not sure, however, whether my reaction is entirely justified or not, and so I'm asking for the opinions of anyone who might feel inclined to give theirs. I went and looked up the definition of story and this is what I got:

I also checked out their submission guidelines, and besides a minimum word count, there's nothing about... well anything that this entitled elitist mentioned being required. I think this is a case of one person's preferences not quite aligning with the material they're supposed to proof.
It absolutely sucks that there's this level of snobbery in any fandom :( and I'm sorry you had to experience it first hand.
