That's My Girl by
Indigo (Comicverse) Lian Harper, daughter of Arsenal, has a fun day -- and the bad guys learn that certain kids should not be messed with. Written for the 'three little words' challenge on OTL.
Rec!view: Roy’s relationship with Lian and how their lives fit together is something that doesn’t get enough attention, and while I do have some issues with the ootsy-cutey-ness of this fic, it help to ease the itch a little. Lian is a nice character, and you don’t get too many of those in … any fandom ever. She brings out a side to the Titans we might not get to see otherwise, and that would be a tragedy if this fic is anything go by.
Excerpt:
"That's my girl," Garth beamed, embracing the girl warmly. "Is it time for your swimming lesson?"
"Yeth!" Lian replied enthusiastically. "I just read to Uncle Gar, and now it's time for you to show me swimming. I've been practicing my doggie paddle!"
Garth smiled warmly at the little girl, and waited for her to yank off her sneakers, jeans, socks and T-shirt, to reveal the Wonder Woman swimsuit underneath.
Lian waded into the shallows, and dogpaddled out to where Garth stood in the slightly deeper end of the pool, waiting.
"You have been practicing," Garth said, approvingly. "Who's been spotting you when I haven't been around?"
"Donna and Toni," Lian replied at once. "Donna bought my swimsuit. Do you like it?"
