update and some bad news

Last nite Cam, Steve, and I went to echo park for a show. We saw Sunset Rubdown, Okay, and Clue to Kalo.
Clue to Kalo wasnt so good, except they played the only song i really like and it sounded really good.
Okay was brilliant. He had a 7 piece band and they sounded so amazing. It was really great to see him too because he NEVER plays shows outside of SF. He only played one old song and al the rest were brand new and sounded really good. Now im really looking forward to his new album. Another really cool thing is the two mambers of Lazarus (another brilliant band) are in Okays band. I didnt find that out till after the show though.
Sunset Rubdown was good and played all the songs i like, but they sounded kinda rusty. This was the first show they had played in a long time, and you could kinda tell. the lead singer of Sunset Rubdown is in Wolf Parade and he had been busy touring and doing stuff with them, including coachella which he thoroughly mocked throughout the entire set, so he hasnt had much time to do stuff with Sunset. It was still really cool to see them.

I've been spending alot of nights at my brothers because he is out of town and ive been working alot and his apt. is 1 mile from my work. It's nice to be able to ride my bike to work again. Ive also been taking advantage of free laundry. I ordered about the best pizza ive ever had tonight. Delicious.

BAD NEWS:
I talked to Steve on the phone today and he said when he was out playing with Werner today, Werners legs were really stiff and he was having trouble opening his mouth. This is no good. These are signs of Tetanus. Tetanus is pretty common for goats that are Banded and sadley is hard to detect until it is too late. Tetanus is almost always fatal with animals as young as Werner. So tomorrow we are going to try to see if we can find a Vet that can do something to help him. We fear he might be too far along for a shot to cure it, which would mean we would have to put him down. That is about the worst thing ever. So, needless to saw we are all very bummed out. There is a chance that it is not Tetanus or if it is there is a chance that we can get it taken care of, but right now it doesnt look too good. So, there's that. Please send good thoughts Werners way. Thanks.

EDIT: Steve and i got home from work about 4 hours ago and havent slept yet. We came home to find Werner lying down on the ground unable to move and having trouble breathing. We have been calling Vets for the past 4 hours and no one will take him in because he is a goat and they dont work with livestock. We finally got a hold of a goat specialist who said Werner is too far gone now. Tetanus moves fast and there was nothing we could do. Werner will pass away sometime in the next several hours. We are all pretty devastated here. We plan on burying him in the back yard. If anyone wants to come by to give us hugs or say goodbye they are welcome too. Werner was absolutely the coolest animal i have ever owned and he will be very missed.
