Jesus, its been like 2 months since i posted in here. Let me see, what has happened.
I just recently quit a band i was playing drums for called The Moods. I quit for a great many reasons, the most important of which was the fact they made me hate music. They are not a very good band and they play pretty terrible music. They also refuse to try to allow any creativity to seep into their boring renditions of early 90's inspired pop songs. Remember the band Better than Ezra? The Moods music sounds like the songs that no one listened to on their album. The only reason i stuck with them for so long and really the only reason i joined them in the first place is because i love playing drums and will play in any band except Christian music or reggae music. I guess i can add The Moods to the list of bands i wont ever play in...again.
Im still currently playing drums in a band i love very much. We are called Katie The Pest(www.katiethepest.com) and it is basically just me and a girl named Talia. The music is kind of 60's, kinda shoegazy, kinda poppy, but alot of fun. We are finishing up getting some songs together and then we are going to record with a saint of a man named Jason Cupp. He is a really cool guy and coincidentally has a Boxer named Lola too! Small world. He has also engineered/recorded with some cool people like The Elected, Jimmy Eat World, The Valley Arena, and Jon Brion. I think it's going to be good fun.
Steve got everyone in our house sick. He was like Cuba Gooding Jr. in Outbreak. He got the disease and infected me (Dustin Hoffman) and Kate (Renee Russo) and Luis (Morgan Freeman) and even David (Patrick Dempsy?). Anyway, im pretty much entirelly healthy now except for a nagging cough. A message to Steve though, i forgive, but i never forget! As soon as i figure out how, im going to give Steve my liver disease.
Speaking of David, let me properly introduce him. David is our Alcoholic roommate. For the past month and a half David has been drunk basically all day every day. Like nonstop drunk. In this time of drunken horses, he has had 2 major drunk incidents. One of them involved him almost losing our dog and nearly burning down the house, and the other involved hin somehow squeezing into our doghouse, which is very tiny, and punching out the glass window in it. I went outside when i heard glass shattering only to find drunk david and his skullet (a rare form of mullet) laying in huge pool of blood in the doghouse pulling shards of glass out of his knuckles and repeating over and over, "Lola doesn't go in here because there is no ventilation." I guess he was doing us a favor by punching out the window to allow some air flow in there. We had a talk with him and told him he is not allowed to get drunk in the house again. Three days later, and he was back on the sauce (is that a term for drinking?) At the begining of Dec. after we all pay rent, we are going to tell David that december will be his last month living here.
Kate will be taking Davids place. She got into FIDM (fashion institute of design and mechandising), mostly because of Brian (wink wink). She will be moving in at the begining of Jan. it will be excellent!
Matt Babb might be moving into our garage too. He got a job offer out here in LA and he might move back here from the country of Massachusetts and if he takes it he might move into our garage. That too would be excellent.
I dont really know what else to write about, i might make an appendix to this update in a day or two if i think of anything to tell you. that is all for now i suppose.
