What IS vector drawing? I am so confused! it looks nice tho.

And I keep telling people - perspective. Perspective. PERSPECTIVE. Drawings go beyond crap once you take whatever you draw and make it all work to perspective. There is perspective within a character drawing, and then there is the background. You can fake it and approximate it, or do academic perspective. I do approximate that mimics academic because it gives a bit more dramatic effect. Learn it.

And it you love drawing so much, then you need....

I recommend the Ensign as a lifelong and versatile table. Mine is the 'next best' table by Alvin, but it isn't made anymore, was $1300 and heavy as sin. But both do the same thing, and this one is nicer. If you want to avoid waste, and have a table that will tuck away without a hassle, this is it. Spending $150 for a cheap table is crap if you can scrape together $450 for this thing.

Drill a hole, attach a simple kitchen light beneath, 1/4" milky plexigrass bolted over the entire top surface. Get a very comfortable seat (under $100 at Office Depot will do as long as there is height adjustment), and a pencil tray on the front or sides. And you have it.

Don't beat around the bush, do it right, so you can spend time drawing.

Oh, and pencils. Try a bunch, but I think kids should go straight to Tombows, despite the $1+ expense. $10 of pencils will last most people for a month... not that much really. And get nice silky laser paper.

Go nuts. Do it right.
