I can't imagine anyone being able to use the H/Hr dance as proof of that ship. I mean, it was incredibly affectionate and intimate and lovely but it was also very clearly a gesture of friendship and comfort, and their FACES at the end of it, oh man, how could you see those faces and not see how much the whole thing is really about missing Ron? LOOK AT THOSE FACES.

Conclusion: people are dumb.

This. I adored the Harry/Hermione in the movie. She LOVES Harry and she's IN LOVE with Ron. Get over it.

That has been so clearly written in the books, and I don't get why so many people don't see it. But that's just my bias as a shipper, I guess, and if others interpret it differently, go ahead. It's just annoying when people are assholes about it, on any "side".

I absolutely hate that the first six movies have made the trio so much like a lopsided love triangle, though. That Kloves has projected his own opinion so much on what was portrayed on screen, and has been so disrespectful (barring DH1) of canon.

The notion that the hero needs a love interest is a flaw of the books (oh, Ginny), and even more so of the movies. Hermione/Harry is so far off base it disturbs me. There doesn't need to be sexual tension in a male-female friendship and it just undermines both characters as they're written.

With the entire series so tight on Harry's POV, not once did I ever pick up that he loved Hermione as more than a friend or a sister. I never understood the auto-shipping between The Hero and The Female Character Closest To Him - back in the day, that was what most of the H/Hr shippers kept pointing out. Of course H/Hr had to happen, Harry is The Hero and Hermione is The Heroine, duh! *facepalm* I do enjoy their dynamic, but never ~that way~.

Seriously, with all the amazing Ron/Hermione moments and the unvarnished emotion on Ron's face every time he looked at her, how could anyone possibly be threatened by the Harry/Hermione dance? DID YOU MISS THE REST OF THE MOVIE?
