Hey, y'all. :) Tumlbr, Twitter and ontd_ai continue to eat up most of my time and my ~thoughts - it's not a surprise that this is only my second time to update this LJ this month. I guess when I already express myself in tiny bits, I don't think it necessary to repeat everything here. But then again, this place has always been the main ~record of my ( Read more... )

MISSING BDJ IS NEVER IRRATIONAL. omfg I found this old interview with Alice and she is fangirling him SO HARD. It's adorable.

Had you worked with Brian d'Arcy James, who plays your husband, before?

We did a workshop together of a piece, and we've done concerts, and of course we know each other through the community, but we've never done an actual production together. I just think Brian d'Arcy James is a dream come true. I've known of him ever since I saw him in Titanic, and I fell crazy in love with him at that moment. I thought, I love my husband, but I can't wait for the moment that I get to work with Brian. And here we are, where I'm onstage with him and he's singing that song called "The Promise," and he doesn't take his eyes off me the whole time. My back's to the audience, and it feels like I'm the only person in the world.

Also, provided a DVD is filmed this week or... whenever, I'm def buying one of CMIYC. Yup.

OMG SO PRESH. <3

Nnnnnngh I wish so badly to be in that alternate universe where BDJ is still Dan and he won the Tony and asdkjfad;flaj'asjfljads; okay enough. I love Bobby too, I swear!

I hope a kind soul films it, and your even kinder soul can share. ilu

YEEEES. THEY ARE. They are like, my OTP in the PLEASE-WORK-TOGETHER-AGAIN-BECAUSE-YOU-HAVE-FUCKING-AMAZING-CHEMISTRY-OMG sense. I think that may be one of my problems with Bobby, IDK. Brian and Alice are both these intense singers/actors and Bobby doesn't seem to be on the same level as them. IDK.

I am kinda convinced had he been Dan and not Shrek, he'd have taken it over the BE boys. Can you IMAGINE Brian!"I've Been"?

ilu2. :* i'm sure I can do ~something~

Yeah, exactly. Brian always gave back exactly what Alice gives, and vice versa. I never felt that Bobby ever did that, tbh. IN MY BEAUTIFUL ALTERNATE UNIVERSE, TVEIT GOT A NOMINATION AT LEAST, BRIAN GETS BEST ACTOR, AND WE ARE ALL DEAD FROM THE AWESOMENESS. OR SOMETHING. IDEK.

Brian!"I've Been"

I do not want to live in a world where that doesn't exist. JFC. I'm holding out for Brian to eventually play that role again someday - with Alice of course. Someone needs to make that happen.

OMG anything you want, it's yours.

Bobby's definitely the weakest link in the Broadway version, by far. I don't *hate* him like some people, but I'd take Brian in a heartbeat. LESS than that. AND YES, I WISH THAT HAD HAPPENED. WEORIJWEOPIJWEO SO BAD. I miss Brian!Dan so fucking much like...weorjewoweoerwe. I mean, it's Brian so he's BRILLIANT in everything and just watching "A Light in the Dark" and his little smiles and the little ways he and Alice touch each other (sometimes literally!) throughout the whole show just BREAKS ME. She's not that way with Bobby and it hurts. D:

I KNOW. I. Know. The only version of the show EVER that didn't have it and it had to be his. Bleeeeegh. And maybe they'll do some random concert ONE COULD HOPE.

I'm hoping so bad for a world premiere DVD. The guy who did Young Frankenstein and Shrek better come through because he got opening night for both of those.

BRIAN FOREVER. This is why I always pull out off-Broadway whenever I'm jonesing for a fix, just. It's Brian and Alice, and that was so fucking perfect, the universe is just mean for taking it away. :(

the little ways he and Alice touch each other

OMG YES I'm so obsessed with those little moments and I'm kind of tearing up right now because whyyyyyy God why. I love Bobby, I can't say that enough, but when you had perfection in your grasp and it gets taken away. Blah.

Yeah, I do too. I mean, I will watch the Broadway version because it's also awesome, but the OOBC had two of the most talented people Broadway has seen in like... fifteen years or so, when they started out. I'm not all OMFG WHY WOULD HE PICK SHREK OVER N2N because I LOVE him in Shrek and he got that before he knew N2N would be going to Arena, so... blah. Fate.

Those moments MADE the show - especially in March 1, dear GOD. They were being all kinds of touchy and loving that night. Alice playing with Brian's sweater in "I Am the One", the end of "How Could I Ever Forget?" when she grabs the back of his neck and he grabs her arm? JUST. WERJHNWEOHWEJOWERWER. And their kiss in "A Light in the Dark" is just so simple and sweet IT KILLS ME WITH PRECIOUSNESS.
