AWESOME SQUARED.

Meme time! This is from all over LJ, I've forgotten where I saw it first. I guess it's to gear up for the sheer AWESOME that is Christmas:

1. Post about something that made you happy today even if it's just a small thing.
2. Do this every day for a week without fail.
3. Tag 8 of your friends to do the same.

Day 1 is EPIC.

I don't even know where to start. I guess I'll begin when I woke up? LOL which wasn't until around 9AM. Most of my other profs didn't want to have class anymore, so my school day was 1-4PM. :)

So I got up and immediately went to my dad. Because...

It's his 52nd birthday!

Not a day goes by that I'm not grateful that he's in this world. But today, I am most grateful. :D Needless to say, he is the best dad in the universe. I can't even describe to you all the things he's done for us, things he does every single day, things he does without complaint, things he's always been doing. I love my dad. ♥ He is the one man in the world I know will never do anything to hurt me.

YAY! After I greeted him, I sat back down with my laptop and proceeded to check both my emails, my LJ friends list, Plurk, and TGO. I had a wonderful morning because one of my favorite Smallville fics got updated early! And because the people of 12days_of_clois are posting their Christmas-themed fics. :D Fun times.

I eventually got up, took a bath, read some more fic (whilst drying my hair), got dressed, got up and left for school. Lalala commute. I got to CAL right on time for my 1PM class, WHICH MY PROF DIDN'T EVEN GO TO. Argh. :P I hated that because I climbed all the way to the 5th floor for nothing, and I could have just stayed home and vegetated on my couch. But whatevs, I just spent the rest of the period in the CAL library, trying to finish reading The Iliad.

I went to my 2:30 class, and when that was through I passed by the PMHS tambayan. I was accosted by no less than 7 apps and mems wearing the gorgeous new PMHS jacket. \:D/ It's awesome, and I will show you a picture when I get mine. I said a quick hi-hello to the people inside, jotted down my wishlist for the kris kringle, and ran back out because my mom was already waiting for me in Katipunan.

When I got to Seattle's Best, I got the surprise of my life. Look at what was in a box in the front seat of the car:

PUPPYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!

She's 3 months old, a cross between a Dalmatian (dad) and a Japanese spitz (mom). She's chubby and big for her age and was really quiet in the car on her way home. :) Her name is Betsy. ♥ We've never had a puppy before, and our whole house is crazy about her. Even my dad, who claims to never want to have a pet. She's been following him around the house all night. :D

So anyway, my mom and I got home, fussed around for Betsy, and after a wonderful birthday dinner (my dad's amazing pasta, ribs, and banoffee pie!) I started to wash the dishes. My dad was feeding Betsy outside (a few feet away from me) when he casually said, "Nabili ko na ah." I knew exactly what he was talking about. My eyes just bulged out of my head and I mumbled "No way." He just nodded and said that it was right next to my computer. (I didn't even see it when we first got home because I was so busy with the puppy!) I practically ran to the couch and saw an innocent little plastic bag. Inside it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen (no, not really. But still super duper awesome):

iPOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH. 120 gigs of sheer Apple gorgeousness. ♥ It's now #1.5 on my list of all-time favorite things (it shares the top spot with my beloved laptop). :D I can absolutely say that it's the best thing (literally) in my life right now. Sigh.

I can't even tell you how long I've been waiting for this. :)) My parents caved about a month ago (I had to tell them that it would be my 21st birthday present, as well as my gift for the next 2 or 3 Christmases, hmph) and my dad had been calling 5 different Digital Hub branches in the last couple of weeks, checking if any of them had the black version stocked. He promised me that I'd have it before his birthday, but when I woke up this morning and he still didn't have it, I thought The Day will be next week. Or at least sometime before Christmas.

BUT NOW IT'S HERE!!!!! IT'S ACTUALLY HERE!!!

It's Christmas - 13 days early. :D It's the most wonderful time of the year, indeed. :D

Today was just... epic. And it's not even my birthday! :P Hahaha. Just so, so, so awesome. I can't imagine anything better.

Here's something that I can't stop laughing about. It's the best thing on the internet right now:

Fitzwilliam Darcy is proposing to Elizabeth Bennet. It is not going well. :-/
Elizabeth Bennet is ??!!

LOLZ. It's from Austenbook: Pride and Prejudice told through Facebook status updates. WIN WIN WIN.

Oh, man. Flailing is exhausting. :P I'm off to go crazy with these 120gigs, and with the beautiful addition to our little family. I will leave you, as always, with a quote. Goodnight, everyone. :)

We are cups, constantly and quietly being filled. The trick is knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out.
