Yeah, so. Enrolment wasn't so bad. :) I rushed to Kenny Roger's Katipunan after 1.5 hours in CAL 305 prerog-ing for a GE. It was there that Michi, Kaye and Mael happily informed me that Barack Obama is the new President of the United States of America.

Cute talaga si Ryan and Kelsi :) And they're going to school together ^^ (Well, so are Chad and Sharpay pero sige lang.) And you know, I was thinking while watching this: why isn't there a PISAY school musical? ^^ (Yeah, greedy, meron nang movie tayo. But the possibilities! The geeky song lyrics! The cheesy dance numbers in orange tablecloth!)
Re Prop 8: It's heartbreaking :( But Lara, we know that Obama didn't like Prop 8 and since he's in command now haha maybe something will happen to that evil thing. As for Philippines, the Family Code of the Philippines says and I quote: "Article 1: Marriage is a special contract of permanent union between a man and a woman entered into in accordance with law for the establishment of conjugal and family life." Yeah, our own Prop 8. It's not really in our constitution, but nothing about marriage is. Still in effect today. :(
And about the Reproductive Health Bill, medyo madugo talaga yan. The College of Medicine is for the Bill, but the Church isn't. I always feel like some sort of traitor/guilty/uncomfortable when I attend mass and there's that prayer for the nonpassage of the Bill always prayed after communion. >_< I like PGH Chapel because it is the only place I attend mass that doesn't have that prayer. (But of course, PGH is for the Bill also.)

OMG LORRAINE you have just put into words one of the Biggest Dreams of MY LIFE - for all of us to just up and start singing and dancing like we're in a musical. I want that to happen to me! Hahaha. A Pisay musical would be super awesome. Somebody should get on writing that. ;)
I know Obama is against Prop 8, but the people of California voted for it. As a federal state, I don't think Obama can touch any of that. And just... even if it does get reversed one day, just the simple fact that they even voted yes on it will always break my heart.

I hate that prayer. I don't know if all the churches pray the same thing, but the one in ours is just so passive aggressive and misinformative (Is that a word? LOL) and hypocritical. It frustrates me so much, and I'm so thankful that they don't make us pray that anymore. The priests' sermons piss me off enough - if they start with the prayer again, I may just stop going to mass. :|
