I am officially ON VACATION!
We had our deadly 3rd exam in Bio101 at SEVEN IN THE MORNING yesterday -- every aspect of which completely sucked, except maybe for the fact that it was my last exam for the semester. :) After that, most of my classmates and I waited for our lab prof (who never did go to class) until about 10. I left with most of them, and then went straight to Trinoma and then SM Makati to shop for a new hoodie. That shopping trip was unfortunately a bust (I guess I'm very picky with my hoodies now that I have the perfect one in the UP centennial), but I did manage to pick up a new bottle of perfectly girly, perfectly purple nail polish. :)
I got home at 2:30 and relaxed for the rest of the afternoon. I settled in for what has become my beginning-of-break tradition: watching Pride & Prejudice ♥ And really, it doesn't matter that I've watched it just about 10,000 times, it's still completely awesome. Mr. Darcy still floors me every single time. "You have bewitched me, body and soul, I love, I love, I love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on" still makes me want to jump around and laugh and cry. I smile and swoon and giggle over all the same parts, and this time I found new favorite moments. I love this story.
I slept with Darcy's voice in my ear, and woke up at 1 to have a late lunch. For the first time since probably the end of summer, I slept for more than 12 hours. :P I did some chores while simultaneously blaring Season 3 Bones episodes throughout the house. (I miss The Original Squint Squad.) Now I'm about to watch the new Prison Break and just waiting on my Pushing Daisies, Bones and Friday Night Lights downloads. Have I mentioned how much I love vacations? \:D/

Two (I guess three?) pretty big news on Broadway people:
1.
TEARS! Lin is leaving Heights in February. :(( :(( :(( I cry and cry and cry. And then cry some more. I can't even talk about it yet, except for crying sad, pathetic tears. UGH.
2. Megan Hilty and Eden Espinosa will be closing out the Wicked production in LA this January. (

They're my favorite Elphaba-Glinda pair, and I love that they get to work together again... but jeez. Can't any of these Wicked people move on? Kristoffer Cusick is Chicago's Fiyero, Derrick Williams is still LA's Fiyero, and I think some of the original Broadway ensemble are still in LA. I know they love it, and I guess it's difficult to let go of things in theater (maybe especially a big production and a loving family such as this), but guys. Come on. ;)

I'm going to have a lot of free time this sem break, 90% of which I'm sure will be wasted on the following:
- Plurk - It's like a cooler and prettier mIRC. :) You update your "status", watch your friends update theirs, and comment/chat with each other! It's shallow and pretty useless, but it's fun. :) They have cute layouts, cute emoticons, and Karma points! Go join and friend me please.
- Twitter - It's a lot like Plurk where you update your status, but it's a lot less interactive. More like a news feed for the people that you "follow". It's useful for me because I get updated on what Barack Obama, Seth Rudetsky and [title of show] are currently up to.
- Facebook - I spent most of my first Facebook weekend just playing around with applications and boxes and stuff. There are a lot of cool things on it. It's much better than Friendster or MySpace networks, and here I get to stalk follow the accounts of some of my favorite Broadway personalities. I love poking and SuperPoking and writing on Walls. Keeps me updated on my Augustinian friends too, so it's win-win-win-win. :)
- TV! - Aside from the shows that I'm currently following, I plan on marathon-ing at least half of these. Ranked in order of access to episodes:
- Gilmore Girls Seasons 5-7 - it will be painful, but I think it's worth it.
- Chuck
- How I Met Your Mother
- House Season 4
- Ally McBeal Season 4, The Era of Robert Downey Jr. ♥
- The Big Bang Theory
- Wonderfalls
- Ugly Betty Season 2
- Brothers & Sisters Season 2
- Private Practice
- Dead Like Me
- Jack & Bobby
- Angels in America
- Life
- Battlestar Galactica
- Dexter
- BOOKS! - I am ashamed to say that I've only read 13 books so far this year. That list includes Breaking Dawn, which makes it so much more embarrassing. :( I had a goal of reading 50 this year, and though it's unlikely that I'll reach that, I still want to read at least 30. Hopefully I can work it out, with the help of these books that have been waiting for me to have the time to read them:
- Dune - I've had it with me for about a month now, and I haven't finished it yet. Pathetic.
- The Kite Runner
- A Thousand Splendid Suns
- Atonement
- Darkly Dreaming Dexter
- The Chronicles of Narnia
- The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
- At least one by Chuck Palahniuk
- At least one by Stephen King
- Harry Potter - at least until Goblet, because I miss it.
Oh, I also plan to be at least a little productive. There are some personal goals I'm hoping I can achieve, which includes (but are not limited to): review for NMAT, go out of town at least once (please, God), open a bank account, repair and work all the kinks out of my laptop, download files and get them on DVD, pack away first sem stuff, shop (YAY!) for second sem stuff, re-learn how to drive to prepare for DRIVING TO AND FROM SCHOOL EVERY DAY OHYEAH. I also want to get a haircut, and maybe get some new clothes. And MOST IMPORTANTLY: gotta catch up with people who have disappeared on me these past few months. Friends, it's time to follow through on those plans to hang out, okay? Okay. :)
Hopefully I'll be able to accomplish at least some of these things and not just end up vegetating in front of the computer. I'm surprisingly motivated and geared-up. I guess it comes with the relief of another semester under my belt, and in anticipation of a complete LACK of free time from now until graduation. (Three semesters and one summer to go!) Gotta make the most out of what's given, and for now I have just about a month.
God bless to those who still have exams/finals/papers/projects! Just a little more, and you'll be done too. ;) Let's go out once we're all free, please?

Ned: So everyone wants stuff. We wake up everyday with a list of wishes a mile long and maybe we spend our lives trying to make those wishes come true, but just because we want them doesn't mean we need them to be happy.
Chuck: What do you need to be happy?
Ned: You. ♥
