This is going to be another very happy entry from yours truly. ;) So let's start with one of the most awesome things that anyone has ever given me:
Sent to me by the beautiful Polench (
polayn_jap)!!!
AWESOMENESS, CONTINUED!
Finally getting this in the mail absolutely made my day. :D It would have been so easy to make me happy today -- I woke up with a migraine, attended Bio 101 lec and lab nursing the worst headache I've had in a while, and had to commute all the way home in the blistering non-summer heat. AND THEN my dad came home and plopped this magical manila envelope in front of me. It bore Pauline B.'s NY address AND THEN OMG I KNEW EXACTLY WHAT IT WAS THE MOMENT I SAW IT.
Hello, wonderfulness of a real live Broadway Playbill. :D AND SIGNED BY EDEN ESPINOSA TO BOOT. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! Okay, stop. Pauline told me about it a while ago and I thought I squeed over it enough back then (just not on this LJ). BUT NO, OBVIOUSLY I'M FAR FROM DONE. RENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EDEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Merle Dandridge and Adam Kantor and Renee Elise Goldsbury and Rodney Hicks and I don't know who else LOL!!!! Real live signatures of real live Broadway actors, from when a real live (AMAZING, GORGEOUS, AWE-INSPIRING, WONDERFUL, GENEROUS) friend stood at the real live stage door of the Nederlander! I diiiiiiiiiiie of the amazingness and pure squee. I know it's weird to get excited about a freaking Playbill of all things (most people just throw theirs out or sell them or whatever), but COME ON. I'm a newly-minted musical fangirl, and for me, Broadway is still this beautiful, mystical, fantasy place. It's so far away, so (currently) unreachable, and therefore magical; of course I'm going to cling incredibly hard to anything I can get that's tangible and REAL. Pauline gave me the greatest gift in this. HOY POLENCH! I know I've thanked you a billion times already, but OMG you don't know how happy you made me with this. :D
OH HAY, ANOTHER THING THAT HAS COMPLETELY MADE MY DAY. My heart skipped a beat, and I actually stopped breathing for a few seconds when I first saw this picture. They are SOOOOOOOO GORGEOUS. How can that be??? It's been FIFTEEN YEARS since The X-Files began, and these two are prettier than ever. I love that the movie's SO CLOSE (TWO DAYS FOR ME AND MAEL OMG OUR SQUEE CAN HARDLY BE CONTAINED), and so many articles are being printed about them again, and they're doing all these press stuff (and probably not enjoying being asked the same questions over and over) AND BEING PHOTOGRAPHED AND VIDEO-ED AND INTERVIEWED TOGETHER AND I just... die. I diiiiiiiiie. I've loved this show and them and them together for so long, without getting ever anything new and now the movie's here and all the fans are being gifted with these beautiful things. I am so, so, so ready for the movie. BRING IT ON, JULY 25.

I guess it's just as I get older
I appreciate the complexity of the relationship
between Scully and Mulder.AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, The X-Files Love Song. It's so cute! Watch it if you're in need of a good laugh. ;)
So many other things make me happy right now. :D There was Mamma Mia! (hello adorableness and pure entertainment; and a kickass soundtrack) and the epic Dark Knight experience (HEEEEEEEEEEATH), of course. But there's also more X-Files loving (they're in this entry three times BECAUSE OMG, I AM IN FANGIRL OVERDRIVE AND LOVING EVERY SECOND OF IT. THANK GOD OUR TAXONOMY EXAM WAS MOVED TO NEXT WEEK); In the Heights (mostly Lin ♥) because how can I not; the beautiful Yankee Stadium and the incomparable Mike Mussina who I love more and more every day; Megan Hilty, Stephanie J. Block and Allison Janney in 9 to 5 -- which somehow spawned this completely priceless Wicked universe collision! Megan and SJB doing the pose, LOL I never thought I would see it; a couple of devastating nights on Broadway: Laura Bell Bundy, Andy Karl (*sob*) and Natalie Joy Johnson's lasts on Legally Blonde; Phoebe, Remy, Skylar, Brian and Lilli's lasts on Spring Awakening (FIVE original cast members leaving on the same night, holy hell). The last two aren't happy at all, but I've been obsessing over them for a couple of weeks. Musicals are ever-fluid and ever-changing, I know. But cast changes in my favorites (especially major ones like these) are always a big deal for me.
PS. More In the Heights! Because
lmm and [tos] are love, and because Chris Jackson and Janet Dacal are
super ADORABLE.
YAY. :D
ANYWAY. Hello there, world. :) I think I'm supposed to be busy with school stuff, but my exams have been mercifully spread out so far, so it's no big deal yet. I hope everybody's doing well, coping with... everything. ;)
PS. It's a little early, but here I go anyway:
Happy birthday, Hazel!
I miss you, crazy girl. Di kita babatiin ng maayos dito. Gusto ko magkita tayo,
and I'll tell you all my birthday wishes for you then. :) You know I love you!
