i began yesterday completely devastated and teary and depressed because of Bones. BUT, at the risk of sounding bipolar, my mood immediately did a 180 soon after that. becauuuuuuuse i finally, finally, finally saw Nya after many months of being apart. the two of us plus Hazel met up at DQ in Trinoma and then headed to Marikina for an incredibly fun sleepover. :D

at first it was kinda sad and weird that it was going to be a sleepover with just the three of us, but that feeling quickly went away. we just ate, and talked, and laughed, and watched stuff... and then we ate some more. i think we consumed our weight in ice cream, cookies, chips, dip, and a huge Jollibee feast. :P

fun, fun night, with exceptional company, and a lot of fangirling. we watched Gossip Girl, among other things:

Things I Loved, Part 1: Blair and Chuck! Being totally cute one second, and super snippy and bitchy the next. I have such a soft spot for these two.

Dan: I just think too much has happened. I don't know how to make things go back to what they were.
Serena: So that's it, then? It's just -- 'have a good summer, I'll see you back at school'?
Dan: I guess. Yeah.
Things I Didn't Understand and Kind of Hated, Part 1: DAAAAAAAAAAN. Ugh. :( The whole storyline is a huge cop-out and so unnecessary. It feels like a little bit of a betrayal, too -- the writers have spent the whole season trying to convince us of their One True Love, having Dan pursue her and Serena pursue him right back, agonizing over I love yous and their first time, and then suddenly Georgina comes and they break up just like that? It can be fixed, they can work on it, they don't have to be completely over. I understand that Dan's hurt because of all the lies that Serena told, and can even accept him needing time away from her, but why can't he see that she had her reasons and she did it because she loved him and UGH. Nevermind.

Haven't you heard? I'm the crazy bitch around here.
Things I Loved, Part 2: Blair Waldorf kicking ass! First of all, I love any scene with her and Dan in it, and two thumbs up for them teaming up to bring Georgina down. But mostly, she is just too awesome for words. If she wasn't such a bitch, I'd like to be more like her. :P Also: so, so, so, pretty.

Things I Loved, Part 3: THE BOYFRIENDS TOGETHER AGAIN!!! Nate and Chuck are back, and I love it so much. Look at their smiles. They look happier than they ever were with their respective girls LOL. So gay. So much love.

He brings out the worst in me, and weirdly, I think I bring out the best in him.
Things I Loved, Part 1-A: Blair and Chuck! Together and happy and in love. Chuck is so much more attractive when he's all atwitter with infatuation. Too bad their "relationship" lasted for all of 10 minutes.

Things I Didn't Understand and Definitely Hated, Part 2: WORST ENDING EVER, Y/Y? Chuck is a huge commitment-phobe, I get it. Such a waste, though. And whyyyyyyy can't TV writers ever understand that guys and girls can really only be just friends. Seriously, not all boy-girl pairings have to fall in love -- especially not the ones without any kind of buildup or chemistry. Ugh, why are they focusing on the two pairings I absolutely HATE, and not the one I was mildly curious about (Nate/Blair)? :|

Rufus: So you want me to leave?
Lily: I didn't say that.
Rufus: Do you want me to call off this wedding? And if you so much as nod yes,
I will go out there and I will tell your fiancee and your guests they have to go home.
Lily: Well, I didn't say that either.
--
Lily: I'm rambling. And I'm nervous. And you make me nervous.
Rufus: That's a good thing, right? [...] If we're standing here, twenty years in the making --
Lily: Yeah. Those twenty years, they have to count for something, don't they?
Rufus: I think they count for everything.
Things I Definitely, Definitely Loved, Part 4: RUFUS/LILY!!!! Michi (obliviate) totally spoiled me for the opening scene in the bedroom, but it doesn't matter, I still squeed like the little fangirl that I am. :P I LOVE THEM THE MOST. TRULY, TRULY. I thought that Rufus was going to leave and Lily was going to get married and there would be nothing more until Season 2 but thank goodness Rufus bypassed security LOL and went inside the bridal suite to drive Lily a little bit insane. LOVE.

Things I Definitely, Definitely Loved, Part 4-A: HIS FAAAAAAAAAAACE. OMG, I had to pause every few minutes while capping this scene because I kept staring at him. What I wouldn't give to have Rufus Humphrey stare at me like that. THEY ARE TOO AWESOME FOR WORDS.

Rufus: Here we go. You sure about this?
Lily: Ask me again, and I'll change my mind.
Rufus: I love you, Lily.
Lily: I love you too, Rufus.
Things I Definitely, Definitely Loved, Part 4-B: JUST WHEN I THOUGHT THEY COULDN'T GET ANY MORE AWESOME, THEY GO AND SAY THOSE THINGS AND DRIVE ME COMPLETELY INSANE. Gaaaaaaaaaah. I LOVE YOU DAW! :P Though I don't get why she still ran out and married Bart and he's on tour with Lincoln Hawk, I really can't bring myself to care. Because hi, I love you. :D (Also: his faaaaaaaaaaaaaace. ♥)

i guess it's a good thing that i wasn't that invested in this show like i was with Bones, or else i'd have been completely devastated again. instead, i am reveling in the awesomeness of the only people i really cared about in Gossip Girl: RUFUS AND LILY, YAY YAY YAY!

**

so we watched some more TV, a couple of movies, some stuff online, and eventually we fell asleep. we got up at around 9:30 this morning (and because Nya's lola's house didn't have Star World) searched through the internet, got on YM and asked Ces about the American Idol finale.

DAVID COOK FTWWWWWWW!!!!
♥♥♥♥♥

this is the time
to be more than a name
or a face in the crowd
i know this is the time
this is the time of my life

None of us expected this at all, especially after Simon's mean comments about Cook's performances the other night. I had a feeling that the Archie fangirls would be complacent after the "knockout" line, and I guess I was partly right? Come on, 12 MILLION VOTES. Anyway. Kudos to both of them -- they were truly, truly excellent the whole season, and there could not have been a better finale. It's cliche, but to me they're both winners. They are both going to be just fine with their careers. I think they're both going to go a long, long way.

After they announced Cook as the winner, Archie and Cook hugged for a little while and Cook whispered something in his ear. Fox San Diego just interviewed Cook and asked what he said, he said he told Archie he loved him and Archie told him he was so proud of him. ♥♥♥

My Once-Ideal Top 4! Cuteness.

Yay for Season 7 -- the first time since Season 3 that I've been emotionally invested in this show. Here's to hoping the magic will be back next season. :) And here, have some more David Cook!

MY ABSOLUTE FAAAAAAAVORITE PICTURE OF HIM, EVER EVER EVER.

suffice it to say that this has been one of the best days ever. \:D/
