Pisay: The Movie brought back so, so, so many memories of my beloved high school. :) watching it was a huge nostalgia attack; all the memories i didn't know i was holding came rushing back - all the people i came to know and love; the teachers that have molded my life and how i live, teachers that i still miss, teachers i will remember forever; the buildings i spent hundreds of hours in; the track oval where i clocked in many many rounds of strolling; the memorable front lobby; the caf and the unique food, lol; the dorms and all the unique experiences that came with it - dorm managers, loveable roommates, curfew, gate passes, food delivery; the moments of pure joy and insanity; the heartbreaks; the inside jokes; the academic torture - from three years of BioChemPhysics, to PetriMath to STR; the novelty of being a scholar; everything i loved about that part of my life.. i remembered them all while i was sitting there watching the movie. ♥
i felt giddy and homesick at the same time, i felt a sense of loneliness at my comparatively solitary college life (and I MISS MY FRIENDS huhu), i felt overwhelmingly grateful that i was given the chance (and that i took the chance) to study in this school, and to be part of this universe forever.
sabi nga ni Kel, isa sa pinaka-priceless na lines yung sinabi ni Rom: "Buti na lang nag-Pisay ka." hay. buti na lang nag-Pisay ako; buti na lang nag-Pisay kayo. ♥ i can't imagine life otherwise. thank you Lord. :)
i am forever grateful to Aureus Solito and his talented cast (SHAYNE ANG GALING MO WOOHOO!!), writers, and crew -- for skillfully and lovingly immortalizing our beloved Pisay in this wonderfully made film. well done. :)
