omg season finale. i've never shouted at my laptop so much. UGH, THIS SHOW. it has all these twists and turns, around ten per episode but that big twist near the end ("She's beautiful.") just drove me insane and made me jump around a little on the couch. guh.

so i just marathon-ed Dark Angel, and i have to say: hottest cast ever. (in 2001)
Jessica Alba, Michael Weatherly and Jensen Ackles. guh.
that's really all you need to know about the series. :P it's really good, for a show that only managed to air two seasons worth of episodes.

i watched High School Musical and i enjoyed it. again. :P
i really don't understand why i like this movie so much. it's so cheesy and pointless and shallow and it's a sad excuse for a musical. Vanessa Anne Hudgens can't act, Ashley Tisdale REALLY can't sing, and it's about BASKETBALL. the highlight of the movie is a callback audition, not even a real play. it's new generation Disney, the one that brought Hilary Duff and Hannah Montana to the small screen.. it's not supposed to cheer me up or make me happy. i should hate it for a thousand different reasons. by all rights, i should cringe every time i hear any of the songs, i should hate it when it's brought up.. but i don't.
i'm not supposed to like it, because i'm not a 12-year old girl. i'm not supposed to like it, but i do. :D i think that it's one of the movies i'll always enjoy watching. because.. hello. it's HIGH SCHOOL. it's about cliques. it's about (cute) jocks wanting to be (cuter) singers, geeks wanting to dance hip-hop ("Sometimes I think it's cooler than homework."). they dance with basketballs and they break out into song in the middle of the freaking cafeteria and the quad. it's like crack.
see, that's the thing: i've always, always wanted to just randomly burst into song and dance in the middle of the cafeteria. or, just anywhere. i guess it comes with being a semi-frustrated street dancer, and how much i enjoyed Pinoy Ako with Electron.. basta natutuwa lang talaga ako pag nanonood ako ng mga taong sumasayaw.
the basketball dance sequence, in my opinion, kicks all kinds of ass (seriously, how difficult was that to pull off?); the cafeteria chaos was well-choreographed chaos and an awesome few minutes of sensory overload (the exploding movements and the rolling around on the floor and the tables); and We're All In This Together is a dream come true. seriously. GROUP DANCE! :D i love it.
and there's also the super-awesome Ryan & Sharpay duet, which i always always enjoy watching. Lucas Grabeel just WINS at everything. (THIS FEELING'S LIKE NO OTHER!) and of course the song that was stuck in my head for a solid month.
because of this renewed enthusiasm for this movie, i went on YouTube to search for behind the scenes stuff.. unfortunately this was the only good thing i found, and it doesn't even have Zac or Vanessa on it. still, i laughed my butt off while watching it. :) i also found out that apparently they're filming High School Musical 2, which ought to be interesting. i know better than to expect a lot, because Disney is notorious for making sucky sequels (except perhaps for Toy Story 2). one plus is the whole (main) cast is coming back, so.. hmm. i guess i'll be looking out for it. :)

sixteen episodes, and omguh. i love it. it's probably going to give me nightmares, i'll probably hide under the covers, and i'll shout at my laptop some more, but it's so totally worth it. because the brothers (and their car)? are really really really really REALLY hot.
