Marty & Angela's Apartment: Wednesday
The last few days had been rather busy for the Chase-Blank clan. The 26th was Abby's birthday so Marty and Angela had headed to Philadelphia to spend a few days with Angela's family. And while the trip had been nice, normal and relatively uneventful, between the trip, school and work, Marty was still in the process of trying to get back into the swing of things.
When the call came, Marty was in the process of dressing Abby, so the message had gone to voice mail.
When he finally did get a chance to check the message it was probably an hour later. Now... some might call it inappropriate to teach a child certain words on the off chance some crazy lady leaves bizarre messages on your voicemail.
Fortunately, Marty was not one of those people.
"Such a good girl," Marty cooed as he kissed her forehead. "And when you get older we'll work on snickerdoodles."
