Los Angeles: Your Typical Trendy Cafe at Lunch

A plane ride, a portal jump and a taxi cab from hell brought Marty and Angela from Pittsburgh 1996 to LA 2006. Once they had gotten their room and their stomachs had settled down enough and some other run-ins at the Hyperion, they then found themselves at a nice little cafe with Cameron and Veronica for lunch

"You sure?" Cameron asked, sitting back in his chair so he could catch another glimpse of the actress. "She looked an awful lot like the alien on Galaxy Quest."

[chasingangela]

Angela rubbed her head, still spinning a little from the portal. "I think she's just a wannabe. Maybe she sold us coffee this morning."

[oatmanspatient]

"No that was the Carmen Electra look-a-like," Marty said peering again. "Was she ever on Galaxy Quest?"

[cameronmitchell]

"I think so. Didn't she do the alien with the things that could do the thing?" he gestured with his hands in the hopes that Marty would get what thing he meant.

[oatmanspatient]

"Oooooooooh yeah," Marty said now remembering. "I think she's going to reprise that role in the new series."

[cameronmitchell]

"Really?" Cameron perked up, ignoring the look Veronica was giving him. "That's cool. I liked her."

[oatmanspatient]

"Yep. But did you hear the rumor? It sounds like they may cancel Wormhole X-treme," Marty said shaking his head.

[chasingangela]

"I can't believe you still watch that show," Angela said. "The aliens are so ... bad fake."

[cameronmitchell]

"It's a fun show," Cameron protested. "Veronica has a thing for the new Colonel they dragged in." He shifted a bit to the side to prevent getting elbowed.

[oatmanspatient]

Marty snickers. "What? She didn't like the last guy?"

[cameronmitchell]

"He wasn't as hot," Veronica replied.

Cameron frowned. "I don't see it," he declared. "Which is probably a good thing. Do you know if they've got their studios here or in Canada? It could be fun if we could visit it."

[chasingangela]

"I have no idea," Angela said, her face brightening. "But that's something we didn't do last time we were in L.A., the studio tours. I would totally love to see where the stars hang out, all of that."

[oatmanspatient]

"Maybe we should do one of those tours that show the stars's homes," Marty suggested. "And where would we get information on studio tours?"

[cameronmitchell]

Cameron stratched the back of his neck and shrugged. "Tourist information?"

[marsheadtilt]

"There's also this wonderful thing called the internet," Veronica reminded them. "We can look it up when we get back to the hotel."

[chasingangela]

"You're the Californian," Angela reminded her. "Isn't L.A. tourist stuff practically imprinted on your DNA or something?"
