Satan Ate My Burrito

Today has been an unusual day (as far as this week goes). Unlike the rest of the week, which was spent studying and reading feeds, today I dealt with Del. He's not a bad guy, but the line between boss and subordinate has all but disappeared at this point. On the up-side, I finally submitted $24,000 worth of bills my vendors have been harassing me about (I wonder why?).

About the only thing of interest today has been Del torturing Angela. He keeps putting things in her hair and teasing her about her MMO-boyfriend Derek (he's not really her boyfriend, they just chat offline a lot). Though Del has succeeded in convincing Derek that Angela is in love with him. Admittedly, I enjoy watching Del and Angela argue. It substantiates my theory that people don't change.

And now a rant:

I noticed, a long time ago that when my dad is around my uncles (his brothers), my aunt (his sister), my grandparents (his parents), he doesn't act like my father anymore, but like a brother(and son, in the case of my grandparents). The same goes for my uncles and my aunt. When they are around my father and each other it's like they are all a bunch of kids, arguing, joking, and generally behaving like siblings do (that was their first role, after all). What they aren't doing is acting like adults.

In fact, that very statement is preposterous. "Acting like an adult." Why should we have to act like anything but ourselves? But it's in our vernacular. Strange really, but its says a lot our lives. In fact, after witnessing this manifestation within my father, my mind has merged both of my father's roles, which allows me to see my father in a way most people don't see themselves.

Okay, it's 5:21opm and I am sitting at work. It has not been a usual day (at least usual for this week). In contrast to the last couple days where work was quiet and I read through chapters in some textbooks and updated myself on the video games "to be", today was spent configuring terminals and dealing with Del. He wasn't too bad, like he can get, but hey! that's what you get when you hang out with your boss, he becomes a buddy and the separation of "boss/employee vs. friends" disappears. Thankfully I got to submit most of the bills that I owe a vendor. They are kind of upset that I have been taking my time submitting requests for payment of $24,000 USD... I wonder why? lol. Only other things of interest would be Del messing with Angela. He's putting stuff in her hair and teasing her about some MMORPG-buddy that she talks to all the time (not in the game, but in real life). His name is Derek and Del is succeeding in convincing Derek that Angela is in love with him (although she's not). She's not in love with anyone, and I dont think she will be... Not Seth's fault, but her's. It's fun to see those two argue (Angela and Del) they remind me of me and my sister when we were youngers. Not that people grow up or change. I firmly believe that. A good example are parents. Everyone knows their parents, but have you ever observed them with their siblings and parents? I did. It's neat. My old man becomes a "kid" when we visit the family. He's not DAD, but Chiquiyo (his nickname). He acts with his brothers like I do with my sister and deals with his old man like I do with him. And grandpa... Well, he's cooky. I think I am going to enjoy being a grandpa, I mean, I am plenty crazy now, but the aged-insanity of a humorfilled old man seems pleasant. Well, here I am, and I realize the end is like the beginning, only nothing follows.
