Today in yoga I reached past my toes with my legs straight for the first time in my life. I've never felt a stretch feel so overwhelming and so perfectly right, but that's also probably because I was doubled over with my lungs compressed. Things seem better when you're running on low amounts of oxygen. Furthermore, I didn't have a complete mind-body moment this week and I'm a little disappointed. Last Monday during the breathing exercises, I had a total rush from having so much oxygen going to my brain and I swear it was more powerful than most any orgasm I've ever had. TMI? Too bad.
In other news, my toe is still hurting a decent amount, but I'm also not giving it a chance to heal. Oh, and I still have smoker voice from the Wave on Thursday. Maybe I actually have a sore throat or something more serious, because I should have my voice back. Also, things are starting to be more and more uncomfortable, which isn't good. I'll give it another day or so and then I'm going to take my ass to the doctor if I don't regain speech.
In Modern and Yoga alike I have to learn to let go of my tension. Both have times where you have to let the weight of your head go, and that's the easiest thing ever for me to forget, because I always remember when I'm clenched, tight, and craning for no reason. If you're reading this, you probably already guessed that I went straight for the symbolism and assumed that I have control issues. Crazy and probably true.
Okay, I'm exhaust(red). And I've been feeling the onset of a nosebleed every time I've danced for the last week. That doesn't sound like good news, but it might just be that I can feel the blood flowing through my face.
