So Close Now To Walking Away
I moved in to a tent yesterday and who know that my biggest complaint about living in a tent in Iraq is that it's freezing cold in there. No joke the AC's are set to 18 degrees C. And me being the ever so smart guy that I am sent home my sleeping bag about a month ago, and all I have is a poncho liner and a fleece blanket. I ended up having to put on my Texas A&M hoodie last night so I could sleep. If I wasn't such a cheap bastard I'd buy a blanket but all I can tell myself is I only have to put up with it for a little bit. I'll be back stateside and the main thing I'm looking forward to is a sixer of shiner bock. First stop is the 7 day to pick it up, that's probably all it will take to get me smashed then it's to my room half ass unpack, take a long real shower, not the navy showers I've been taking for 6 months, with a beer in hand mind you. Still no word on orders to Fort Worth, hopefully I'll have them but I doubt it, so the great hope is to get night crew.
