Snow and Retards
Well rubber neckers today marks the first time in probably 16 years that I've seen snow that actually sticks to the grown, iced over rivers were also seen this pass weekend. We've got a touch of a winter storm going on in North Carolina and my buddy and I had the pleasure of driving through it to get back from Virgina. This weekend is the last time I'll be going up there for at least 6 months and it was frigged there, I do believe that's the coldest weather I've ever been in and that is no hyperbole.
My sister is going retarded stupid with her wedding and planning on spending an insane amount of money which piss's me off to no end. I get it, in theory it should only happen once in a life time (isn't it sad how sense being in the Marine Corps I don't see marriages as the permanent things they should be and hence makes me almost cynical of them) however there is no need to go in debt to get married. I think the money she plans on wasting for umm I don't know things like a band, and cruise for a honey moon, could be put to better use's like a down payment for a house. My parents are doing alright but it's not like they are rolling in the money either they set how much they would give her and she wants to piss it away on stupid shit. It makes me sick and also makes it where I don't want to have any part in it. I'll probably try and stay out in Iraq due to my disgust for these things. She's never been very good with money, she went to college and told me that taking out a loan is not debt that she has a truck and college loan payments but those are not debt. If college teaches you that then no thanks I'll pass.
I'll get off my soap box for now, and one last thing I have my address for when I get to Iraq if anyone may want it. I have a fondness for snickerdoodles, just a little fyi.
