Today was a pretty good day, besides the fact that I don't remember a lot of it. Like 4th period. I remember Bj waking me up, and then patting me on the back and looking sorta worried. Then sometime later we watched a movie with a cadaver in it. kinda gross. and then we got something to color. :D
5th period, we took band pics, and i played a card game with the gang (that's how i refer to them now, Beth, Justin, Ryan, and Matt. :) Then at lunch, we played it again. :D And 6th period was soo amazingly boring. ugh.
and i had a Calc test after school. definitely failed it...
I encountered this at lacrosse practice today, and it greatly intrigued me. I asked a couple of the other girls, and some knew what it was (like Mary Reicheson), and some didn't. But for those of you unlearned people out there, here's the jist of what it is: when you have (or want) two things that are exact opposites, but you want them to exist at the same time... but they can't. How it happened at practice was this: I went to go shoot on the goalie (who is a really really small girl), and I shoot pretty hard. So when I shot, I accidentally hit her right in her stomach. I'm not the best at aiming yet, but she practically buckled and must've had the wind blown out of her. I ran up to her an apologized, and she said she was okay, so I wasn't worried. Before I could get another turn at her again, she said she didn't want to do goalie anymore. And then Steph suited up for goalie (who is used to me shooting on her), and right after I go into the drill, Coach is like "Lydia, make nice, decent shots. We don't want you scaring off another goalie." I'm just staring there like WTF. Dude! If you want me to score, I have to shoot hard, or else my shot is like... shit! Seriously. So, the next time I'm up, I throw one of the lousiest shots ever. And they noticed. Eventually, I got over it. I'm just glad people realize I don't like to screw around at practice. Other teams are not going to make the same lame shots we make against our goalie, and I've pretty much decided it's my personal duty to prepare Steph, Bronwen, and Katie (our goalies) for some of the hardest shots of their life. So that if anything slower comes along, it'll be a piece of cake for them. But, what do I know?
