Kitty!
Probably the best impulse buy ever... We were at this pet store (Petsmart, yay!) and my parents and I walked past the cats that needed adoption. My dad and I adore cats, so we went in there and started petting them and such, and I found a calico one that really seemed to like me and by the description on the card was a really great... so I asked if we could adopt it. My mom said yes. So we adopted the cat.
We bought everything they told us to (except for the window perch, we're getting that later), and brought her home last night, less then a half hour after we adopted her. Her name is Princess (we didn't name her... she's already 1 1/2 years old and my mom thought it was too late to call her something else... even though cats don't respond to their names in the first place), and she's adorable. Actually... I was able to snag some decent pictures of her.. !
She ended up trying to eat part of the plant in the last picture... was quite amusing to watch. I love the boot-like black spot she has on her back right leg! It looks so cute when she's walking away... She also has a sort of eye-patch that makes it look like she has eyeliner on. Cats always look so angry in pictures... it's a shame. She's really expressive, and right now she's falling asleep while watching the gerbils, which she wants to eat, badly.
Love her dearly. Wish her and the dog would get along better.
