Open jam part II
This evening I went to a small bar in a tiny town north of here for an unplugged open jam. This one was truly unplugged, no PA and only one amp for the bass guitar. The musicians were all talented and down to earth people. My ability to play classic rock songs that were not blues or country apparently breathed a breath of fresh air into the jam and everybody loved it. In other words I was a hit and everybody there wanted me...well they liked my guitar playing anyway.
I met the bass player from Bad Boy. I thought he looked familiar but I couldn't place him until he introduced himself. He is a very nice guy and was exstatic to find in me a kindred soul. This was down home, good fun and I'm still giddy as a school boy from it...or maybe it's the energy drink and Jack Daniels. Either way I was in my element in a room full of musicians and had a great time.
