[voice]

What a pleasure it is to have so many visitors! I hope you will all stop by the Jasmine Dragon for a nice cup of tea before you have to leave.

[ooc: Anything goes. Yay fourth wall!]

Iroh!

[Penny practically scampers in, looking rather like someone who just hopped off of a motorcycle. For a dead person, she seems very healthy and lively.]

You're still here! Can I hug you?

Penny!

[Iroh comes around the counter to embrace her.]

I am hurt that you thought you had to ask.

[She returns the hug enthusiastically.]

Sorry! It just seems so awkward flying in and hugging people, you know? And once I hugged someone who wasn't from the same timeline as me and that was awkward, so it's good to ask. [babble!] But how are you? How's the tea business?

I can imagine. And I am all the better for seeing you. Please, have a seat! Let me get you a cup of something.

[He takes a quick look at her new appearance.]

The usual, or something a little different?

Thanks, Iroh. Seriously, you're awesome. [She sits gratefully. Running around and spazzing at people is hard work.]

[She tilts her head quizzically.]

The usual would be great. It's really, really hard to find good tea at home. I mean, Kyle tries, but he forgets to use a tea ball or a teabag or anything and it just gets full of gritty, floaty stuff.

[Iroh sighs and shakes his head as he prepares the tea for her.]

It is tragic how many people do not know how to prepare a proper cup of tea.

[He sets a cup in front of her.]

So who is this Kyle? A gentleman friend of yours?

I know, right? Thanks. [She sips the hot tea, only to come very close to performing a cartoon-perfect spittake. Fortunately, she manages to swallow her tea before laughing.]

Nooooo, no, no. He's a co-worker and he--this is really awful of me to say this, but he's really terrible at singing and playing the sitar, and he likes doing both of those when he doesn't have any work to do. The poor guy has this tragic love story going on and he never stops singing about his girlfriend.

Aaaaah, young love. I have sung many a song myself! But tell me, what is the sitar?

I bet you have. You probably had to beat girls off, right? [She's teasing, but it's a very gentle sort of teasing.]

Oh, it's--you've seen a guitar, right? It's sort of like that, but with a really long neck and a roundish body. I'm more of a violin person.

I would never beat a lady unless it was a fair fight. But I have had to adopt some pretty cunning disguises to hide from all my admirers.

I see. And what is a violin?

Now that sounds like something that needs to be elaborated with lots of storytelling.

[Aaaand Penny draws a blank.]

It's... you know. It's this small, stringed instrument that's played with a bow--a... stick-thing with a string attached. I wish I could show you.
