Well, it has been an interesting few days...
Saw 'Dead Man's Chest' on Saturday. But if I start talking about it, I wont stop. SO I will just say...I don't think I have ever enjoyed a movie so much in my life (Shaun of the Dead is a close second...). And of course, once again, Johnny Depp has swept me off of my metaphorical feet. *swoon* ^.^ Ok, must stop.
Anyway, my boss calls me Saturday night and asks me to work Sunday morning, because one of my co-workers, who is always late, and notorious for calling in sick, has called in sick. >.<
So, since I love my boss, I say I will. Wade and I go see DMC, and then Wade is off to work. I make a phone call that ends around 12:30 am, and I'm of to bed.
Problem is I can't sleep. Here is how the next 20 hours played out.
1:30- I move to the couch and turn on the TV.
2:00- I clean out the un-used coffee pot. I get the feeling I am going to need it.
2:30- I pop in a movie. Maybe that will wear me out.
4:00- Movie is over. Drew Carey is on. I munch on some carrots.
5:15- I get ready for work, whilst sucking down that inevitable cup of coffee.
6:15- I arrive at work. Tired as alllllllll sorts of hell.
7:00- I clock in, and realize that I have 38 people checking out...this is not good.
9:30- Lots of angry people start bitching at me, one after the other, because we have run out of milk, and coffee.
10:00- Woman starts getting miffy at check out because she thought the room was shite. Won't shut up about how shitty it is.
10:15- New woman flat out starts YELLING at me, because the room was shite, and wont pay for it, wont pay for the $14.00 phone call she made. I call my boss.
11-3- Things continue in this manner, pissy people, everyone checking out at once, new people checking in...blah, fucking blah. P.S. I haven't had anything to eat, because I don't get a lunch on this shift. Because I am by myself.
3:15- I'm beginning to worry. My other piece of shite co-worker was supposed to be there at 3.
3:30- I call my boss. She says she'll call another employee.
3:40- After trying everyone, she is forced to come in herself. She is at a restaurant, but will be there as soon as she can.
4:30- I clock out.
5:30- I get home (I walk a lot slower when I am running on no sleep, my feet are killing me, and it's 90º outside).
6:00- I go to bed.
11:30 am, 7/10, I wake up and start all over. And what do I get out of this? The girl that I have wanted gone from the moment I met her is now fired. Which, after 17 hours of sleep, makes me very happy.
Guests have started asking me if I live there. Kinda funny.
