WHOOOOO.

I'm in Bunbury now, doing ED. It has been the most relaxing week, possibly ever. Have watched all of Doctor Who 1, 2, 3 (new) and wanting to watch 4. And then Torchwood.

Shit, I'm obsessed!

God, but I don't want to go to work tomorrow! Arg. Probably will be okay. But I am feeling very lazy at the moment.

I bought Merlin pancakes and pikelets. Mmmm.

Notes on Doctor Who -

I like David Tennant's Doctor. I also liked Christopher Eccleston's Doctor. Out of the two... it's a hard choice? Eccleston had a shorter storyline and less to work with. But I feel like his relationship with Rose is better? With David Tennant's doctor - and yes, he had this incredible scene with the wall and seperation and fantastic music in that part - his relationship with Rose is lovely, but it feels lacking. I prefer Martha/Ten - I prefer someone that's a little less pliable.

But then again, if we're talking Doctor Who, then I guess there's no one better matched to him than another one of his kind. And that's not happening anytime soon. Or ever, it seems.

The idea of 'The Doctor' is interesting. On one hand, it's poetic and lovely, the last of the timelords, the restless lonely wanderer, good, the alien with so much humanity. On the other hand, there's so many flaws, it's a god complex thing, it's like playing games, some childishness, so much of the alien that's more evident in series 3 but never fully brought out. Not yet, anyway, in what I've watched.

David Tennant cracks me up, he's hilarious. He did this spoof - youtube 'people like us david tennant'. oh, and his prank to Freema. XD

I like Martha, I really do. Martha > Rose, unfortunately. She just has so much spirit. Plus, the whole medical student thing completely won me over :P

On soundtracks - Series 1 and 2 soundtrack is lovely, haunting. I am liking Series 4 ost, especially songs of captivity and freedom, but the whole of it - there's a lot of depth there that couldn't be achieved without the full orchestra. But I think there are less stand out pieces, probably because I love the effect of the solo voice soaring out.

I need to sleep. I am going to sleep now. If I am to wake up tomorrow.
